AARRGH - can't buy my new wheels!

With 20k on the car my 17" OEM Pirellis are ready to replace. I'd been waiting for this so I could buy 18x9" Magnum 500 wheels. Guess what - no one has them - they're back ordered w/ no ETA from any dealer! AARRGH!

I was really just venting here-so thanks for listening!

(And kinda hoping someone would reply "Dude-they have them at xyz.com at half off!" but that's not going to happen )

No really-thanks for searching. I was kinda hoping a set would show up. Just got off the phone and as yesterday "not in stock, no ETA."

I called seveal places as well to order some center caps for my Magnum 500's. I hate to repeat this, but I was told they are now discontinued. Let's hope that was bad information.

Stick close to me, as I've been known to change wheels like underwear.

Hopefully that means you change often instead of never.

As mentioned-in my conversations with 4 or 5 different companies-the only real info I was given was by a salesman from Late Model Restoration. He offered that since February orders for wheels really picked up and production hasn't caught up with demand. It's funny because at least two other wheels I was semi-interested in are sold out as well (in 18x9".) I hope his take on this is right.

Not sure if you found any, but I see CJ Pony part has some as well. I bought mine from there, with great service.

Well there you go. A complete wheel and tire combo for less than 1200.00.

Better jump while you are still in the mood..

Shame, really, as I've been waiting for my OEM tires to wear out and buy the rims. I plan to buy new 17" tires and wait to see if they really do go back into production. If so, I'll then sell the 17" rims/tires/tpms and buy the Magnums....best I can do.

Try giving wheelreplicas a call I believe they are the supplier for AM and CC.

If not shoot this guy an e-mail. I think he might be able to get you a set. His feedback is 100% and the pricing is really good. I've personally dealt with him in the past and he's gotten me wheels that where out stock before.

Good luck,

Good luck,
Yes I did call Wheel Replicas and they are the manufacturers for this wheel . I was told that they changed factories in China and had probs moving their molds. New molds are being made for the new factory so turnover won't be quick to resume production. They will definitely start making them again, it will just take some time to do this. I was told to call back in 45 days and maybe they can give me an ETA on delivery.

In the meantime I just ordered a new set of Pirellis as a much needed replacement for my OE set and still plan to sell wheels/tires/tpms when the Magnums come available.
