Based on other threads I've read, that sounds just about right.

Might be a little on the high side for just the side decals. But if you like em, buy em!

Personally I think this style (top one) is better, with the text close to the front of the car (and on the rocker, note that pic is not an 05).

I know others have done it, it's your car, etc. etc., but the car is not a GT 300, it's a GT. Don't think the GT 300 rocker stripe is appropriate for the car.

Well, I guess thats just your opinion DimondBlue, But you know what they say about Opinions...... Everybody has one.......

Rene' if you like those stripes get'em! That's not a bad price. I have GT 500 rocker stripes on mine and it looks great! The 68 GT 500 was my favorite car of all time. My 05 is my interpretation of a modern GT 500. The 500 will also tie in to my horsepower goal. It's all relative to what makes you happy. Don't ever listen to someone that tells you something isn't "appropriate" BTW: I also have retro(1968) cobra badges.....I guess I'm all kinds of "inappropriate"!!!!!!

If you think about it GT is Grand Touring, maybe I'll put those stripes on my V6, because I will be "GRAND TOURING". If it's a HP thing maybe a "GT 210" would do it.

Tom, Those do look great. As has been repeated on this forum ad naseum, the choice is yours, if you're happy with it go for it. I am having my car striped next week and I'm still undecided on the rocker panels. I will have them done but will probably have solid stripes as opposed to the addition of 300 or 500 or Gt or the Pony or MUSTANG or anything else. My favorite car of all time is the 66GT 350H but I am not going to put this on mine because it's not. No issue with anyone putting GT300 on their rockers cause it's accurate but not entirely. The car is simply a GT. I have seen too many shelby and GT clones in my day but don't dismiss any of them. Most often it's a case of financial ability. While many Shelbys are commanding over 100K, it still takes 30-40K to create a quality clone.

Rather than purchase a Shelby clone, I decided to purchase a genuine 05 GT, I do not plan to present it as anything but what it is, except of course for the Shelby racing stripes B) Just my conservative, humble opinion.

Wow...I certainly wasn't taking credit for that being my car. If my car was here, I would be more than happy to post pictures of it. I didn't realize showing someone pictures of cars already posted on this site was a problem Sorry.

We better let the owner of the car tell you. He might get upset if I do. B)

Someone likes your car so much as to post it as an example of what looks good, and this is your reaction? Lighten up.

The post following that asks where the stripes were acquired.

Instead of being helpful and providing that information, you ignore the request and rant about someone posting your car, which is already in other threads on this site.

Good job.

Rene', that's a custom job done by:

Bryan Quinn
The Graphix Factory
email address: graphix@core.com
phone: (517)749-6493 or (616)262-3425

The installed cost was $450, don't know if he'll prepare a set and mail them for installation elsewhere.

It's been detailed in

this thread.

outdoorstom,

I posted pictures of my mustang for everyone to see how GREAT of a job Bryan did on my car and try to get him some extra busniess, being he is self-employeed. He is a great guy and very professional at what he does. I would have liked it if you would have posted the link instead of just the picture. The posting has all the information on it. I have been getting several personal emails about my car on postings that I never posted to. So, it I came across a little harsh, I am sorry.....

Thanks DiamondBlue for posting the link and Bryan's information.

Steve

Bryan sounds like a good guy. I think your stripes are the best I've seen, better than a straight triple stripe or a stripe with text of any kind.

So how custom does he let you get? Was the custom work extra cost? How much?

How much for just the stripes themselves?

Does he have a website?
