I've decided I want to get new wheels/tires IF my car ever gets here.
I was plugging #'s into the wheel calculator from another thread and got to wondering if I want to stick with an 8" wheel. I had been leaning towards 18x9's until now.
I mean the tires are going to be almost 10" wide. I don't want the flat sidewall look, but I don't want them to be bulging out either.
What are your suggestions/opinions?

Jason

Yes, there are several threads about wheel sizes. In fact I'm probably participating in most of them.

Jason, if you are going 18, get the 18x9 for sure. I find the extra 1" of rim width will really make your tire/rim combo look great and you won't have any buldge. Plus, performance wise it is a better setup.

That's the route I'm going eventually.

Those are definitely 255's?
If so, I'll have to go with the 9".
That's a lot of bulge in the sidewall.
Are you sure the wheels aren't 8"? Or the tires wider than 255?

The production setup was great match in person. And I really wish they would have been offered from the start of production. The actual size varies by manufacture of wheel and of tire. Some 255's could turn out to look too narrow on some 9" wheels. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm positive those are 18x9" rims with BFGoodrich KDW 255 45R18's.

I've been waiting for that exact rim/tire combo since I first saw the show cars.

Thanks, Dan. My mind is made up then. They have to be 9" wheels for me.

Badsnke98: Thanks for the tip. I realize all tires are a little different, but I have to assume my tires will be 9.96" because that's all I have to go by.
Even though I've picked out the tires (BF Goodrich KDW) who knows where they measure from EXACTLY and how close the tires are to 255. They could be 253's for all I know.
