These are a few ideas I'm toying with. First one is on not exactly a 69 theme because the painted area extends all the way to the front edge of the hood. Middle one same thing but with a 69 style Fang hood. And third is 69 style fang hood

Just curious what the rest of you think.

69 style on left/top (with a CDC shaker)?
69 style Fang in middle?
70 style Fang on bottom/right

I like the one of the right. Chin spoiler is a must, but I also prefer the thinner stripe on the hood.

The 69 style looks so good on white, and with a shaker.

The one on the right with the rocker stripe from the one on the left would look excellent.

How about something unique?
But, if you are going to get the shaker (which I feel is a little small for the '05 hood), I would go '70 style. It flows/integrates the shaker a little better IMHO.

I'm boring and unoriginal and like the retro look. I'll let others do unique things to their stangs

I much prefer the 70 look. But I don't like the dimensions of the shaker. As stated above, add a black rear spoiler to offset then black chin and black out rear panel. That's the balance of white/black I've been looking for.

Can anyone link me to the Screaming Yellow '05 GT owner with CDC shaker, boss style, MRT rear window louvers, etc.? I can't find it.

That is the cleanest classic-look i've seen for the '05 Mustang GT.

Don't have the link but here are some pix I saved. MIght want to check cardomain.com There are only 05/06 350 mustangs on there so it wouldn't take too long.

Yes, I'm just refering to the paint/stripe differences between the 69-70. Fang does do a 69 style, (yellow convertible below) but I think it looks better (just my personal taste) when it extends to the front edge of the hood.

I could never get enough of these retro 05's The yellow one is perfect.
I really think '69 is the way to, since the headlights are more reminiscent to '69, and It just flows better since I'm used to seeing them on the classics.

Here is what I'm talking about with the Fang hood and painted area extended to the front edge of the hood (first picture).

I added this as an option on the first page (makes for an easy comparison of the 3), but unfornuately I can't edit the poll to include it.

Other picture gives an indication of what the CDC Shaker would look like with the 69 style painted hood.
