Looks like the hood is longer than stock and the headlight bezels fit between the grill and headlight to extend that part of the bumper. I am unsure of the heat extractors though.

Boltzman - I thought you bought a hood on another thread? That's the hood I posted some pics of last week. You should call and talk to them direct!

I did locate this little gem on ebay last night!

No ,I haven't purchased a hood yet. This is the one you posted. It is what I'm looking for ,I think.if it has the extractor vents..It kinda looks like it does. However, the cost is way high. Also trying to find out what they mean by headlite bezels.I did email them but you know how long that can take.Thats why I posted this to see if one of our "Experts" would have an idea Keep the responses coming pleeze

The bezel is usally a beauty ring around the headlight or fog light ... same thing on aftermarket round instruments or gages.

I agree with Deric. The hood is extended in front, and there are bezels that extend the area between the headlights and the grille to match it. I can see a difference in the grille, but don't actually see anything around the headlight, though. See the similar hood and extensions that Fang makes: http://www.fangperformance.com/php/i..._position=23:5
It's even more expensive, but it definitely has the extractors. Dream Car Factory also made a decent '68 Shelby hood, but I can't get their website to work, so who knows what's going on with them? Cervinis has something similar, except in a Mach/Boss style. The hood you are looking at seems kinda high priced for the poor picture and lack of information they're giving you. If they don't answer quickly, I'd keep looking, or find someone who has dealt with them before.

I think the Dream Car Factory went belly-up. A lot of their stuff found its way to Ebay. There was a thread about it a few months ago...

Chuck - Carbon Fiber one....649+165 for shipping...no bids and no need to paint.

That red one above does have extractor vents, look at the back of the hood on that pic there is one on each side.

very bad rep on him.

The Dream Rip Off Company closed its doors about 3 or 4 months ago, blew up one to many of its customer's cars not to mention their over priced kit cars didn't sell too well.

The building and all its contents are for sale for 1.5 million if anyones interested.

Its really a good idea to talk to someone who has bought a particular hood you may be interested in or at least get an opinion from a good body man.

The problem with some of the cheaper hoods is pre-paint prep that some of them need, you can spend all your savings on what looked like a good deal on prep work needed to get the hood smooth and to fit properly.

I'd wish one of the big Mustang magazines would do a hood comparo article but then again the biggest advertiser would probably get the props.

carbon fiber is very tricky, it depends on the quality of the CF and how the hood was made. Most of the time the CF will eventually start to fade, yellow, haze and many other problems, just look at any ricer that has had a cf hood on for more than 6 months. There are some that are coated with a UV protectant coating, but IMO they look best painted anyways.

oh and Boltzman, the hood in your original post is odd IMO, the scoops are too far back, not to mention too much money. It looks like the one that was at SEMA which did have vents like you are looking for near the rear of the hood; I couldnt find out too much info on it while there (the car wasnt in a booth, just sitting alone in a hallway) but someone I did ask said it doesnt come functional but can be made that way as the one on the floow was. And I did get your PM, Ill let you know as soon as I get good news for you, in the mean time if you cant wait I can get you a Cali Dream styled hood soon and can possibly even swing one in CF, it just may need to be ordered.

I was wondering if it was only me or not noticing that it looked odd.It is the closest i've seen to the Dream Car Factory hood though. I'm gonna wait for the DCF replica. I'm in no big hurry although it would be nice to know that one is actually in the works for sometime in the near future. Thanks for the update.

Jim - is there enough room (height) at the back of your hood (cowl) to mount some small gauges? Somewhere I saw an aftermarket hood where someone mounted gauges in that area. For the most part, they were only visible from the driver's seat.

In the latest issue of Mustang Enthusiast, Cervini has a new ad that introduces (among other things) a new 68 Ram Air hood that looks very similar. They only have 1 pic of it in the ad and nothing about this hood is on their website. I posted a request for more info on their forum yesterday, but haven't heard anything yet. I am going with a C300 kit on my new 07 redfire GT, but do not like the eleanor hood and was considering the 67 Ram Air hood they offer instead. I have seen the DCF version of this hood and it looks killer, so I think the Cervini is the closest thing to this I have seen. I'll post back whatever info I get from Cervini.
