imo everyone is entitled to express their opinion. i dont agree with the negative comments but to each their own. all that should matter is whether or not something like this puts a smile on the face of the person who writes the check.

gearhead - while the wing isnt really my style (i prefer the ducktail look), the car does look good. sweet color

Wouldn't it be boring if we all drove around in identical cars? I would never do to my car what Brian has done, but many of you would never do to yours what I have done to mine (I have fender snakes). So What! Why does it make some people mad that others do mods that they don't agree with? Why can't we enjoy our own cars, compliment others when we can, and at least tell the rest to enjoy what they've done? Even they guy with neons! Few cars are modded beyond recovery, and like Doritos, Ford will make more! And why do we care about the fish stories of some unknown street racer? I just don't understand why some take it personally. It's just a car!

Wait a minute. Strike that last comment.
Enjoy your car Brian.

I'm with Backafter20, I wouldn't put the wing on my car, but it looks great on a Torch Red. I don't like the idea of putting GT badges on a V6, but anybody who can't tell the difference doesn't need to be driving either model. I'm in the process of making my 05 GT look like a Boss 302, so I wonder if that's any different. In any case I want what everybody on this site wants: a car that is not just a new Mustang, but a personalized, individual Mustang. That's exactly what you're doing, so good on you.

What I don't get is the GT emblems? That's all bad! Why did you do that? You're a liar.

But really, it seems weird to me that you want that Cobra R look on the "fastback". And even weirder that you are putting GT badges on it.

People are putting Cobra emblems on their rides because they are trying to go for the cobra look.

But GT emblems? Doesn't sound right to me.

Take it with a grain of salt! As long as you're happy!
I wasn't trying to be harsh. I was just not understanding his goal.

Is he trying to tribute the GT, is he trying to tribute the Cobra R, or is he just doing what he wants? Maybe he had/has a Cobra R too?

I was just looking for some background on his decisions.

To whoever was going for the Boss 302 look. I understand that, you are tributing the Boss 302.

I've seen plent of GT's resembling Cobras. But this is the first V6 resembling a GT resembling a Cobra R that I've seen.

I hope no offense was taken.

I dont like 3D carbon stuff at all. But since you have the wing ... you might as well get the rest of the package. You need to get the rear valence and front bumper.

Right now it just looks out of place. You've got those nice "old school" type wheels with the over sized tires, the dual exhaust. I think the Steeda or ducktail would have been a better choice considering the path your car seemed to be taking.

ok guys, time to settle down a bit.

Saying something is rice is not name calling, racists or a threat.

Personally it doesn't do anything for me. Now, if it was installed with the rest of the body kit I think it would look fine. Some things don't look that great on a car unless the rest of the kit is included, such as putting street scene rocker panels on a car but not the front bumper or rear valance.

Why even talk about the badges? We all know some people that have GT's hate it when someone with a V6 put GT badges on, just like when someone with a GT put's cobra badges on. However, now you find people with GT's putting V6 badges on because they like the looks of the pony instead. To each their own. Get over it, move on, and mod the car the way you want to.

Excellent point. GT owners that put tri-bar ponies on their cars should be considered V6 posers and banned from this site.

I've discussed this before on previous threads, but it' not the Congressional Medal of Honor, it's just a car emblem (It's against the law to wear military medals you are not awarded, but it's not against the law to put emblems on your car that it didn't come with).

WOW!!! A moderator with a very realistic view on things!!

Get over it, move on, and mod the car the way you want to

This is the essence of his entire post, and I must say I am extremely impressed.. Rock on Adrenalin! Finally someone having the ***** enough to say, he's making the payments, but not holding anything against his decision!

I think you should just put the V6 badges on it, but thats just my opinion.. You have nothing at all to be ashamed of in the 2005 V6.. Dont hide it, with the GT emblems, be proud of it!

GT guys put on the tri-bar emblem because it gives it a retro, nostalgic, look. Not to make his car something it's not. There's a difference when a V6 person puts on a GT emblem, he wants people to think his car's fast and something it's not etc. That's rice. I will now keep my mouth shut.

If he didn't want other people's opinion, he wouldn't post pics. JMHO.

I'm planning on changing my Fake gas cap on my GT to the V6 pony. I'm a V6 poser. Yeah The GT emblems to me cheapen a great looking car, but cobra emblems on a GT are no better. I'm glad the owner of the Monster Wing likes it on his car, but giant wings on any car, rank up there with curb feelers, TV antennas, and air horns that play La Cuccaracha. In my opinion.
