I am trying to decide if I want to get 255s on my stock rims (I think that is as wide as you can go) or get some 18x10 deep dish bullits from mustangtuning.com

Does anybody have pictures of 255s, preferably a rear view of the car, on stock rims?

Thanks.

Hey been thinking of doing the same thing, but I will probably hold out and get the 64W bullits someday. I found you some pics though to check out.

The pic of the mineral grey GT with stripes on the right above is my car, and I have stock 235's on the stock bullitts. I do have 1" wheel spacers on my rear wheels, which give the look of wider tires in the back. Obviously, it worked if it fooled you, Sam. If you are on a budget though, definitely get 255's on the stock bullitts. I think they look really good... and I like the buldge that the sidewalls have. It gives it an old school look.

My personal plan is to get 18x9 bullitts (the ones like Burke0011 has with the 1" lip) with 255/45/18's all the way around. That's the perfect setup IMO. The 18" wheels are more proportionate to this larger car, and 255 wide rubber is the perfect width for both getting rubber on the road for takeoffs, and also not having too much rubber on the road for wet handling.

It won't make much of a difference in the back with 255's on stock rims. I think you should just get some 18x9bullits and 255's.. they are one inch wider and the offset is 36mm which brings it wider too and with a wider tire it all looks awesome together from the rear. I think you will regret it if you just get some new tires for your stockees. just buy some bullits off of ebay from wheelindex for a little over $500 shipped. you can't beat that price. you won't regret it at all.

I'm torn between going with some 18's in Anthricite, or just sticking with the stock 17's and some fuzion ZRI's in the 255 size. I found a local shop that wants $530 OTD for them. At FFW I saw a couple of cars with the 255's on stock tires, and boy do they make a difference. Problem was that I also saw someone with some DD 18in Bullitts with 255/45-18's up front and 295/45-18's in ther rear, and it really looked sweet. At first I did not like the DD in the front, but after seeing them in person I changed my mind. Too many mods, not enough $$$$$$$$$$$

I still say save up and get the 18x9 bullitts. $500 shipped is about the going rate for the wheels like on cambostang's car. Those are the wheels I want too... very nice. And you really can't beat the price. Then, you can go as wide as 285's on 18x9's.

actually 275s will fit on a stock 17x8 rim. i have 255s up front and 275s in the rear. i put them on yesterday. i didn't think they would fit but i was wrong. they look so sweet and they have that "FAT" look you are looking for. I put them on at 7 last night so i dont have a pic yet but i will get you one when i can. "where's the beef?"
