Here's a "Boss 281" stripe kit on Ebay.....I like it and am thinking of making my 2005 a 69' Boss knock-off..

What's everyone think?

That kit would not work on an 05.

I painted something like that on my old one. But I don't think it would look as good on the '05 conisdering it wasn't "redone" after that era mustang

I emailed the cutter....Asking about an 05 version....haven't heard back. There is a 70' version available (Hockey Stick) but I like the reverse "C" better.

I measured the distances and a REAL 69 Boss stripe kit would fit (05 is 3" shorter in rocker area)....2 reasons I don't want to do that though...
1. Much MORE money ($180 vs $150 or less)
2. I want it to say BOSS 281 (not 302)....not that much of a Poser.

Try AutoTrimDesign We have one member, Valerie, who has a sonic blue GT with the partial '70 Boss style stripes on it. Looked pretty good. Near the bottom of the webpage is an entire '70 Boss kit. It's really tempting me....

check out this site, it's a Canadian dealer site but they have some cool stripe kits. You could probably copy their 69 Boss kit and get it painted on.

Here's the link..........check out the Boss kit on the Yellow car!!! :worship:

Just needs a shaker, black rocker panels, and black lower bumpers (area below the bumper air intake).

Painted mirrors are a must on a white car, I think. Those look good.

I love that Boss style blackout hood. What I don't love is my empty bank account

Maybe its just me, but the Boss stripes, none of the new ones or original ones seem to work well with the 05 body. The reverse C looks good though.
