20 inch wheels and funny noises

Guys,

I have 20 inch Foose nitrouse fitted to the car with KDWs. I am getting like a woom woom noise when driving down the road, it sounds like the kind of noise knackered wheel bearings make.

My head tells me it's just a wider tire with a low profile section making more road noise and the cheap soundproofing is not masking it but my heart just wants to be sure. So please tell me if this is ok

Lasty, what pressures are you guys running in 20inch 255 KDW fits.

Ta very much
Desmo

I was told yesterday that 20's would not work with KDW's so I went with Nitto's. Perhaps this is part of the problem. Perhaps my guy didn't know what he was talking about either...

No noise from my Nitto 555's 20's. I'm running 255x35 in the front and 275x35 in the back at 35psi.

No other mods apart from the wheels, no blistering or irregular wear on the tires. My only thought is the tread pattern throws up a funny noise

I have the same wheels (20x8.5 and 20x10) running Falken Beta FK 451's. (255 and 285) The only noise I get is an occassional squealing from the rear. Hmmm... maybe more oil on the tires will reduce that sound? J/K Really, no noises that I can recall. Must be the new tread pattern.

Welcome to the world of KDW's. Get use to it. The tires are loud to begin with and with the lower profile you have due to the 20's, you will notice it even more.

I bought mine at a local place here in Scottsdale. Follow this link http://www.mhtwheels.com/dealers.cfm?brand=4 and enter your area code to find a list of dealers. I was surprised, thought Foose cost a bit more than what I paid.
