1967 Parts on a 2007

Quick question,

Can a 1967 Pony/Corral and bars medallion be made to fit on a 2007 grille? Below are links to the pieces that I am interested in.

Grille Bar Pair

Grille Ornament ( Pony & Corral )

Grille Bar & Ornament Mounting Kit
http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50000016e

My original intention was to use the Pony Package medallion with bars from my 07, but I cannot find anyone that sells just the medallion.

Thanks,

James

Just a couple of things to consider: 1) The width of the bars w/pony corral. Is this mod going on a GT or V6 without the fogs? The width of the grill opening on the '07 may be smaller than the gaping mouth of the '67. (2) The S197 Mustang grill has an inward curve. If memory serves, the '67 is a flat honeycombed piece of stamped metal. One thing for sure, the corral/pony and the bars would stick out perhaps even with the hood on the '07 due to the depth of the pieces.

If you know of someone with a '67, it might be a good idea to measure things before you decide what to do. Just my .02.

This will be going on a bullitt grille. I'm actually hoping to find a pony corral off of a v6 Pony Package 07. I'm not sure if this is stamped into the PP grille or not, but i've yet to find someone that is selling just the PP corral/pony medallion.

You'll have an issue with the corral (and bars if you get them) popping out further than the line of the hood (if looking from above).

I actually have the same thought as you, but instead of a bullit grill, I'll build one that matches the mesh used in the Ram Air California Dream hood (since that's the hood I'll be putting in my GT/CS) (and build a matching lower grill as well), from there, I'll have the corral and pony welded to the new custom grill. I'll make it deep enough where the corral/pony will not be popping past the hood line.

The PP corral and fogs are a one-piece item. Since I have never seen one up close and personal, I can't tell you if the pony is molded into the grill like the standard V6/GT pony. I have never heard of anyone producing just the corral w/pony.

One question though... Why are you wanting to clutter up a bullit grill in the first place? It's designed to NOT have any ornamentation. If you must have a pony on the front, how about the fender running pony emblem attached to the side of the grill like the Shelby snake? Just a thought.
