18x9 vs 18x10
Just wondering what you guys with 18x9 front and 18x10 rear are doing about tire rotations. I was about to order some 18x9 and 18x10 and remebered about the tire rotation. :bang:
Is having different sized rims causing anyone any hassle? or am I better off sticking with 18x9 all round.
Anyone have any pics of how much different 18x10 is compared to 18x9 from the back? Does 1 inch make it the much better from the back? Thanks

People with a staggered setup aren't dealing with rotation, except maybe from left to right, but that won't help much.
An 1" is about the difference of getting 255 or 285, it is noticable. This setup is mainly for looks with launching power help, the 255's aren't bad however, with the right rubber you can still enjoy the enchancements.

I have 285's in the back and 255's in the front. It might be a pain since I can't rotate them but then again, I am not too worried about it. As long as I get 2-3 years out of them that is all that matters to me. I put over 25,000 km on them already and no issues. Now that I will be storing it soon and it won't be my daily driver I am sure they are going to last a long time.
you can get wider than 255 on a 9" wheel. I had 285/40/17 on my '98... all the way around. (they were 17x9 Cobra R wheels) that way I could rotate, and had no problems with clearence.
But, that's why I won't go with a wider wheel in the rear. I like to keep the wear even and don't have the money to spend on new tires... when they typically push $300 a tire for good Z rubber.
In a perfect world with a bottomless budget, though.... I'd go with 10s in the back and wrap 'em with 315s.

That's why I want 18x10 on all corners, but Roush won't part with offset information. If I can get that, I'm doing 18x10 with 285/40's on all corners. If Roush can do it, why can't I (and I can do it with good-looking wheels, unlike Roush)?
