Stock Center Caps DON'T Fit

When I ordered the 18x10 anthracite bullit knockoffs for the rear, I SPECIFICALLY asked, and more than once, if the stock centers [that say ford] would fit and was assured they would. Guess what? Yeah.

So I have 285/40ZR-18 Pirelli PZero Neros on there that look good [I intend to put on the molded body-colored mud flaps to reduce the stone and dirt kick-up] and only a choice of the two crappy caps they gave me. I was so ticked off that I couldn't call them yesterday when I found out.

I'm more concerned with the report here that the clear coat was coming off. That will definitely NOT make my day.

Well the good news is that the wheels fit. The installer was correct in thinking that they wouldnt fit, which they dont while the car is raised in the air. But once on the ground, the rims DO in fact fit with no clearance issues. Mine are on and I am not having any problems, but i also am planning on getting splash gaurds to prevent the rock chips. Which gaurds are you looking at getting for your car?

I am actually having the same issue, but not with the lip level. basically I can feel them hit if I am turning the wheell all the way left or right while stopped or going real slow. But these are not bullit, they are the shelby gt500 18x9.5 and are only made for 2005+ mustangs. Would this just be a spacer issue?

A few years ago when the S197 was new they used to use the 18x9" wheels made for the 1999-2004, which required spacers for the front wheels. Nowadays the wheels for the S197 are tooled specifically for the S197 and no longer require the spacer. I have the spacers on my front wheels because they are the older style from a few years back.
