Right now I am looking into getting these wheels Here, which are available for our 05+ Mustangs at only 8.5 inches wide. I want to put on a fairly wide tire (around 295) and unfortunately the 8.5 just won't do. However, I can get the same wheels made for the 99-04 Mustang at 9.5 inches wide, which will be able to accomodate the wide tires.


My first question is, I know the 99-04 Wheel will stick out wider then the 05+ Wheels but will they be out so much that it will look "silly?" Can someone do some quick calculating and see how far they would stick out past the fender...18x9.5 - 5x114.3 - 40 - HL


My next question to you is if I do this, would it be better to get front and rears both made for the 99-04 Mustang, or go with the rears made for the 99-04 but run the proper 05+ rims up front? Also, any pictures that are available I would love to see. Thanks in Advance!!

 

Ive been looking around for some pictures of the wheels on mustangs, but to no avail. They do seem to be very popular in the GTO crowd. So since this is a Exterior Mods thread, I decided to post up some pics.

Yeah...Im about to scrap my idea of new wheels on the stang, put some wider tires on and call it a day.
