The fanblades are not offered by Ford until August. I would be interested to know if he got those secondhand off of one of the showcars somehow, or if there is a company that is producing them already. Also, to my understanding the factory ones will be all polished rather than having the "blades" painted silver like those. On the showcars so far, I think they have had polished, chromed, and painted.

I registered on the SVT board and asked where they came from. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this. If there is an aftermarket manufacturer making them, I am certain a lot of us would like to know.

I know TSW was making some that look almost exactly the same. I think they were called the Q5 but, they were recently discontinued(a couple months ago according to Discount Tire). Makes me wonder if they are selling them all to Ford now.

Those are similar, but if you look closely, there are some major differences. The ones this guy has on his car are identical to the fanblades on the show cars, and what will be available on the 2006 MY. I wonder where he got them.....

Yea the more I look at them the more of a difference I see. That guy lives in Michigan so maybe he has family or connections in Ford. I just wish they would hurry up and release the prices so I can decide what I'm gonna do.

I don't see what the big deal is about these rims. I think 18" bullitts form Ford would be better.

I agree completely. They just don't have the depth of the bullitts.

To each his own. I like the fanblades a lot, but only if I can get them entirely polished.

The guy stated at the bottom that the rims are not out yet, and he is right but that makes me wonder where he got them. My source from the plant that is making them said that they are an upgrade option for the 2006 vert. Coincidence that the car in that pic is a vert. Still makes me wonder where he got them

I love the fanblades, but in those pics at least they don't get me very excited. Plus, the tires still look like they sit too far inside the fender?

Yeah something doesn't look right about those pics at all. It just could be poor angles. I remember seeing a redfire showcar in Feb. of 04 with the fan blades and I remember saying to myself these things would have to go.

Hmm .. that looks like a Ford enginieering vehicle. Check out the numbers on the
winshield and rear window. If you look close I think it says manufacturer on the
license plate. There was a guy on those boards .. his dad worked for Ford .. was bringing home cars before they were being sold.. might be the same guy!?!

I am not crazy about those wheels on that car either.

I don't know what it is, but when I saw the fanblades on the show cars (both coupe and vert) I fell in love. I HAD to have those wheels on my car. But those pictures really don't do anything for me.

The guy states in the post that they are 235's. They are WAY too skinny on those rims. Put some meat on them then we'll see how they look.

Could be that he knows someone at a tier-1 or 2 supplier that makes the wheels and a set of 4 "fell off the truck"

I was really into those wheels last year and somewhat upset that they were not available. Now, after seeing them on an actually owners Stang, I'm happy I went with aftermarket 18" Bullitt's!
