Saw on modularfords that Tousley Ford is also selling them. They also said FRPP is suppose to be releasing more wheels soon.

Are they close to being available yet? Not much choice (brands that I like) in the 285/40R18 tire department.

You could go 255/45 - 18 for same 27" overall height (tons of tires made this size), or down to 274/40 - 18 at 26.6-26.8" (lots of tires in this size) , or up to 275/45 - 18 at 27.5-27.7" (not too many at this size).

Roush did 275/40-18s all around on their 18x10 wheels, so they'd work out fine.

I rather like the staggered look on my car (although I'm convinced its primarily cosmetic in the case of the GT500) so its not really an option to step down in the rear. However going to the 19's would open up the tire options I'm interested in.

Can you safely put a 255/45 tire on 9.5 wheel? Post up some pictures when you get your's mounted Ryan. I'm thinking it's time for a new set of wheels.

Man Rich, you sure go through wheels! And to answer your question about the 255/45, that is same size that comes stock on 07-09 GT500's. I have been running that same size on my 9.5 inch CS69s (front) with no issue.

I know Doug, I'm a wheel junkie! I thought that the GT500 came with 285/40 tires?

They both fit! The GT500 has 255/45-18 front, 285/40-18 rear. Just got a set off ebay for track abuse. Those 285s in back are monsters, and really stick the tail when powering out of an apex. Whole lot easier w/ 275/40 all around, though, can at least swap back/front.

Any word on this? I am interested to see what wheels will be available. Wouldn't mind seeing the Brembo package wheels on an early S197. I might be the only person but that's alright.

I am getting BF Goodrich R1 track tires mounted and balanced on the SVT rims on Wednesday....I'll try to get a photo posted as soon as I can. I won't be putting them on the car for awhile, but I might put just one on the car for a quick photo comparison.

Still waiting for the Hawk brake pads to show up ( probably going to be another couple of weeks ), before I put the car up on jack stands and put on the new slotted rotors, SS brake lines, pads and Motul brake fluid. Waiting until everything gets here, so I can drive the car in the meantime and not have it up on jack stands, waiting for brake pads.

What size tires did you go with? I was thinking about these but also would like to goto a 295/45 out back.

I see one 295/45-18 on TireRack, Eagle F1 GS:
Rim range 9.5-11"

Overall diameter 28.4"

A 285/40-18 would fit much better at 27" (same original height)

I suppose you could put a 295 on a 9.5" rim, would be better at 10 or 11" though, less sidewall curvature.
