Yea, I know, I'm exaggerating the stream line effects. After only 3 years, LOL. I finally got rid of that 36" whip antenna and got this 3.5" alum billet / black anodized stub version. Cool looking, excellent quality, sleeker and since I live near the city, no degradation of radio signal. Billet Depot on eBay, if interested.

I have the same one and bought it from billet depot off ebay, it's a really nice piece much nicer than I expected it to be.

yes, I was pleasantly surprised, like you said much nicer machine & finish job plus made in USA.
