17" to 18"
#1
Hey guys, I just ordered an '06 GT w/auto & 17" wheels,
i'm planning on putting on 18's and was wondering if I
needed to re-program the PCM to recognize the change.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the forum. As long as the tires you go with a pretty close to the same diameter as the factory tires you shouldn't need to reprogram it. For example. 285/40R18 and 255/45R18 are very close to being the same diameter as the factory 235/55R17. I have these and didn't need to reprogram the computer.
Also, going to move this to the exterior mod section

A 50 series tire will work as long as tire hieght is close to stock. It would be a 235/50/18 which IMO is too narrow. Although that is the factory size for a GT with 18's.

Yeah, just a little to narrow, but wider than stock 17"s
but im trying to sell my stock 18"s so I can go wider.
