I was hoping some one with insider ford special vehicle team or in general mustang expert knowledge might be able to advise on my hopeful future endeavor . When the "07" cobra G.T. 500 is in mass production will it be possible to go to a Ford /S.V.T. dealer or Shelby to order the G.T. 500- nose , grill's , hood & rear spoiler & attach to my "05" . As an example can you not go to a ford dealer now & order the "04" mustang cobra hood /nose & retro fit a "04" G.T. ? . Any & all input will ge greatly appreciated . Thank's .

Im not positive, but i dont think that will be an option. It might be, but they are gonna want to keep the shelby's exclusive for a while, these cars that are being made by shelby arent to be like the saleen, and roush cars.

This car is not being built by shelby(ford is just giving him a big check to put his name on it). It is being built by ford motor company. They have to sell replacement parts for any car that they build. The only question is when can you get the parts and how much they are going to be. As soon as I hear of any pricing or release dates I will post that info.

True. However, for example , all the 2000 Cobra R specific parts were for sale from motorsport. We shall see.

They'll have to sell the parts for crash repairs, etc. I suspect the prices will be very inflated to discourage people buying them for other cars tho'

I will Be Doing a Hotsheet on ALL the Exterior and Some Interior GT 500 Cosmetic Pieces needed to Retrofit to a Standard Stang. I have Most of the Part Numbers Now But it is To Early For Pricing. The New Shelby will be Less SVT Specific than Previous Models and Availble at more Dealerships than in The Past. As Far as Service Parts They will be Available at any Ford Dealer. As Far as FRPP Offering a Kit That would be a Guess. As Far as Retrofitting Most Dealers do not like to get into that. On The Mustang I have Done Much Retrofitting.

http://www.clevparts.com/ Ck My Topics My IUP Retrofit is Probably the Most Popular!

I'm sure that either ford or the aftermarket will provide a similar body kit treatment.

You can still get all the Cobra-R goodies from aftermarket manufacterers.

I personally like the ducktail, although I will go with the 3d carbon one for myself.

It Is Possible The Prices will be High! I will advise ASAP. Personally I love the Cobra Front End! if I have Not Traded for an 07 the Fascia will go on My Stang!
