Looks good rich. Now the "GT" 300 Rockers aren't overkill.

I just picked mine up today. How hard is it to get the GT emblems off, and how did ya do it without leaving any of the other double sided tape on.

Well my car was sitting in the garage all day and the temperature was around 98 so sliding a thin piece of plastic under the GT emblem was pretty easy. I also have some stuff called 'goo be gone' and it took the little residue off that was left behind. I cleaned the area real well and pressed on them pretty hard so they would stick.

Thanks for the compliment Nick~

some ppl use dental floss between the emblem and double-sided tape. i used that on one and then thin fishing line on the other emblems. use a lot of goo gone to soften up the adhesive. and yes, using a hair dryer, heat, will also release the adhesive easier as well.

once the emblem is off the double-sided tape along with liberal doses of goo gone will promote the loosening of the tape from the car. the tape is strong. it should pull and stretch a lot but not tear hopefully. and then it will come off. soak the tape, spongue material, with the goo gone to promote realse of the adhesive.

just let it sit for a while, drenched in goo gone, if it doesn't want to come off. the goo gone loosens her up over time.

changed my "GT" trunk emblem to a pony too. that was a bear. the side fender emblems are relatively easy.

kevin also convinced me to put pony emblems inside of the doors. i love them too. last items will be pony wheel center caps.

If you don't use the dental floss or fishing line you won't have to worry about any tape being left on the car.
The way Rich did it, works best. Just let it get hot naturally or use a hair dryer and pry it off. All of the tape will come off with the emblem. All that's left is a very small amount of residue that comes off easy with Goo-Gone or WD-40.

i just put mine on today as well

since i didnt have the holes, i had a choice where i stuck em...put them about an inch above the bottom line of the "C" body line

the older stangs had their badges closer to that part than where the holes are on the new GTs

Kevin talked me into getting the V6 trunk emblem as well. I swapped out the trunk emblem and the GT fender emblems about a week ago for the Running Ponies. They look great. The trunk emblem was a pain to get off, side emblems were relatively easy.

I was thinking about doing that but I already have a pony on the spoiler.

Did the emblem come on the spoiler, or did you put it on?

They come on the spoiler, but you can order it without one. It's from CDC.

Can someone, like Rich, just give a regular full car side shot straight off the side with the big Pony's on the fender?

Thanks!
