If you ordered the 05 Stang with the spolier delete I must say this is the best thing that I have seen to justify it. I know we have all seen this from SEMA, but it looks like it won't be too much longer to become a reality and to have prices. To me this completes the 05 package. This to me, was the biggest thing that the car was missing. Sorry if you guys have already seen this. Just got excited.

Well to be honest ,common sense. Now I could be wrong. I can see how they might make it like the old s-281 wings. However, I just think that having the ducktail designed to use the bolt holes would make it loose a lot of it's character. Plus judging by all the pics we have seen, the spoiler would not appear that it extends that far onto the deck lid. Furthermore, being familiar with normal production techiniques and with the CDC line-up from precious years, I can see how they could make the set-up work without the spoliler holes. I don't think they would want the customer to go thru an exstensive amount of bodywork for any option. They might even offer a full deck-lid with the ducktail integrated into it and it comes with the end caps. Who knows. I guess only time will tell. I just like the way the ducktail looks and I believe that no matter how the ducktail was designed the owners with the spoiler delete will have an easier go of it. Thanks.

i mean if you think about it, cdc had to know there was a spoiler delete option. if they want to make the most money they can make, they will make it work for spoiler and spoiler delete 05's

No doubt that it will work with both applications. It just seems that if you got the spoiler delete it would be easier. If CDC comes out with the whole deck-lid, I guess it won't matter. You might just see the price effected instead of the amount of bodywork that needs to be done.

I don't think it is a trunk replacement because the spoiler extends horizontally beyond the trunk, onto the body. I'm guessing that the ducktail is applied to the existing trunk.
It looks very nice either way, and am interested in applying something like this to my car.
