I just want to say that I went to High School with Tim Couch and followed him to Kentucky and on to the Browns. Now as a Packer, I just don't know if he is ever going to live up to the hype of the number 1 pick that he was. I really and honestly believe that he has let his $$$$ and his Playboy Centerfold girlfriend all go to his head. Are there any Couch fans out there? And if so I was just curious to see how NON-KENTUCKIANS feel about him.

Thanks in advance for your response.

I've always liked the guy and I think he's played pretty well. I sort of follow the pro careers of players from Washington (Huskies, not the Redskins) but I'm much more tuned into the college game.

. Though I'm not a KY fan Tim Couch Was Still a good quarterback. I think he'll struggle at GB because he's behind Brett Favre and Brett is One of the Best Quarterbacks in the NFL.

He's a Packer, so I'm a backer. I've always been a Tim Couch mark, and when I found out his new home would be my favorite team, I was ecstatic. I feel that a Couch-led Green Bay squad would perform extremely well, should he stick around long enough to succeed the throne of King Favre.

Plus, when Favre was injured in Week 3 of my first season in Francise mode on ESPN NFL 2K5, Couch stepped up and performed extremely well (I almost didn't want Favre to return, then I slapped myself), for the eight weeks Favre was out, posting a 7-1 record.

I've always thought Tim Couch was a pretty good quarterback, (of course I'm a closet KY fan, but a true Louisville fan) I just didn't think he had the team to work with in Cincinnatti.

I was really hoping Bill Parcells would see the light and pick him up and kick Quincy to the curb. Instead he picked up Vinnie, and then Quincy got kicked after Couch had been picked up by the Pack.

I think playing behind Favre will be good for him. He is one of the greatest, but he can't have too many years in the NFL left. Maybe Couch can pick up with a good team, and a good mentor in front of him.

I'm like most of you guys. I like the College game much better, but I still love the NFL. I just hope that Tim will get over his new disease "Extremely Fat Wallet Syndrome" and play football like he's capable of doing. He's dating Heather Kosar a PLAYBOY Centerfold!!! I saw him in Lexington last year driving a Bentley!!! He's really enjoying his $$$$. But even Favre said that Couch had "huge" potential. The only football realated problem at this time is learning the West Coast Offense. Yesterday in practice, Couch threw 2 TD's and one was a 70 yard missle to uhh I can't remember the receiver's name. So it will take time, but he's studying BEHIND the best QB possible, so that's definitely a huge plus.

Later fellows
Dustin

I am from Cleveland and have loved Cough from day one. He is a much better QB than everyone gives him credit for. This pains me to say, but the Browns stink, and he paid the price. I love the browns and I love Couch, but he didn't put up the best numbers. Of everyone I know from my childhood, college, neighbors, family, etc... I am the only one who still felt Couch was amazing and was just in the wrong place at the wrong the wrong time.

I think he will go on to be a great QB and go down in history as one one of the greats. Favre will teach him everything he needs to know.

To really tick me off, rub in my face that my favorite player was traded for being a weak quarterback and then have your team go a run-based offense after buying Garcia..... :bang:

I agree with you. Favre will teach him all he needs to know and how to be a winner, not a whiner. Couch has the tools, he just needs to apply them to the game, not his $$$ and women.

oh man, tim couch was CUT by the packers

``He just wasn't productive enough,'' Packers coach-general manager Mike Sherman said. ``He's a good kid, he worked, he went to the meetings and all those things. It just didn't work out.''

Tim Couch stinks, UK football stinks, FOOTBALL in KY stinks period!!!!! Louisville killed us yesterday and we now have to suffer the embarassment for yet another 365 days. UL has won 5 of the last 6 against us, and they love to let us know about it. We (UK) as a football team, are absolutely horrific!!!! We only crossed midfield 3 times in the whole game against UofL and their defense is terrible. It's going to be a long season for us and I'm already looking forward to UK hoops!!!! And Tim Couch's days are probably over. All NFL teams are pretty set on theri QB situations. Couch will be on another team, probably the Bears, and I hope the best for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Arizona Cardinals pick him up.

But cheer up Tim Couch fans, if Arizona DOES pick him up, and in two years when he goes elsewhere, he'll be awesome!! (The Arizona Cardinals are the NFL's version of the Chicago Cubs).

(I kind of get bothered about hearing about his "College Years." Heck, if I passed 72 times a game, I'm bound to pick up some yards.)

I would love to see him go somewhere and be able to join a very offensively aggressive team. Tim has the tools. He lit the Steelers up last year and finished 20-26 with a couple of TD's. That was by far his best game yet. I'm a Bills fan, so I'd love to see him join Buffalo.
