Went to the game the weekend before last. Our games are all sold out to students and alumni, so I don't have a ticket.

Anyways, so a bunch of us are out there tailgating...drinking..bbq'ing...playin sports so on. By a bunch of us, i mean thousands.

In the second quarter..there is a drive-by shooting in the parking lot about two hundred feet away from out area. One kid was shot in the face and killed instantly, the other shot in the neck and died on the operating table. All over a fight because the shooters were driving too fast through the parking lot.

This had to be the worst thing I had ever seen. Two deaths, people crying all around, cops everywhere......unreal....

So a couple of days ago it has been decided. You can not tailgate at any NCSU ballgame without a ticket.

Do you think one terrible incident should make sutch an impact on everyone?

 

That was messed up. One of my friends was about 100 feet away from it when it happened and didn't know about it until a few days ago. The tailgating rule is also out there. :scratch:

 

Wouldn't have happened in Chapel Hill.

 

Your right. Only thing would've been some UNC hippies protesting Legalizing Pot and John Kerry is God. I love UNC but gosh, some of the students are idiots.

 

It is truly sad when one can't tailgate at a college football game for fear of being shot! Glad you are alright.

 

Yes, Chapel Hill is a very liberal school. Oh well.

But I'd rather have protests than drive-bys.

Its something I will never forget, like when I live in South Florida and saw the Challenger explode in the sky with my own eyes....

It stinks when people can't just fight like men, or even avoid that if possible.

PS...UNC is a great school, but their football isn't worth the grass they play on or smoke
