How's everyone team looking?

My Flyers are looking fast, fast, fast and deeper on offense in as long as I can remember. The defense still needs work with Darien "Plyon" Hatcher leading the way.

The goaltending battle should be interesting between Esche and Nitty...

I think the Flyers second line of Richards, Carter and Calder should have a really good season this year. Forsberg and Gagne look awesome as usual and I really like the pick up of Geoff Sanderson.

If the Pens can steal that Russian phenom, we're looking a bit promising for that 8th playoff spot

Didn't you hear? Malkin dislocated his shoulder in the pre-season game against the Flyers....Apparently LeClair caught a rut and Malkin couldn't get out of his way....They didn't say how bad it was, but from personal experience, it happens once, it'll happen again and again, more frequently until it's repaired.

The Pens still have to learn how to keep the puck out of their net though. They will be scoring all kinds of goals, but letting them up, too.

Oh, thanks for Kyle Calder, btw! He's gonna be awesome with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter...they had 7 points in their first pre-season game and Forsberg and Gagne weren't even playing to take the pressure off them.

Hopefully the Flyers will suprise some people this year....

Flames are lookin good again. Picking up Tanguay in the off season should be huge, Iggy lost 10lbs too from his old playing weight to fit in better with the new style. Should be a helluva season for those two.

The pens have got a few standouts, and a lot of young talent, so i hate to say this, but they might need to trade someone off to get a bunch of solid players. Right now theres too big of a gap between their few top tier guys and the rest which are pretty much bottom of the barrel.

Well, the Preds are looking ok so far. Rolled right over the 'Canes. It is only pre-season though, so we shall see in 10 days.

Roberto Luongo...

Thats all I need to say...

Oh and no more Bertuzzi pressure, Nazzy should have a better season, atleast I hope he does cause I don't see him staying around for too many more seasons...

I wanted the Flyers to get Luongo in the worst way...but they were asking for Gagne, either Richards or Carter AND a pick....way too steep of a price for him.

The 'Nucks should be a very good team this year, though

Went to the final Preds pre-season game against the Thrashers, so it was the best of both worlds. Atlanta looked and played like crap, but once the Preds get their O dialed in, watch out!

Sabres went 4-1 in the pre-season...
Hopefully they can refocus last years energy and continue to do well.

And talk about the NHL pouring salt in the still fresh wound....
.... first game of the season... IN Carolina... WHEN they raise the Stanley Cup banner....
OUch... time for some payback

I never put any weight on the pre-season....you rarely get to see all of the starters playing together and all of the lines get mish-mashed together.

I'll tell you what, I'm glad no one is picking the Flyers to do anything this year. Everyone knows about the first scoring line with Knuble-Gagne and Forsberg, but I think it's the second line that will suprise everyone with Carter-Richards and Calder. Those guys are super fast, Calder and Richards are gritty as hell and Carter has an AMAZING shot.

Now if we can just get some breaks on injuries....

Too early to tell about the Red Wings here, but I'm not planning on staying up late and watching the Stanely Cup finals. They don't have the goaltending and will miss Yzerman's leadership.

The leafs have been written off by all but thier most hardcore fans... I don't think they have a chance. The team won't do well, maybe challenge for the final playoff spot. If the goaltending and defence signings go belly-up, the GM John Ferguson will get fired.

yea no or very few injuries this year would be nice but its not looking that way. Niitty is practicing but Lars Jonsson is still out along with Denis Gauthier and we need gauthier to keep checking people. all flyers fans will remember his hit against martin straka

I watched that game last night, Galaxie and I can see why they are being written off....turnovers, turnovers and more turnovers...

Looks like my Sabres are picking up right where they left off last season ?..Hopefully the losses of JP. Dumont, Jay Mckee , Mike Grier and Taylor Pyatt won't hurt their chances of going deep in the playoffs this season ?? but then again, we still have Tim Connolly waiting to come back from injury..In the meantime ? were still un-defeated at 10-0 now tied with the leafs for the longest win streak to begin a season ??.. LET'S GO BUFFALO
