what the is wrong with those people. Notre Dame isnt ranked in the top 25
they dominate Michigan, Michigan State, and easily defeat Washington and they dont get ranked beccause of a stupid lose in the first week to BYU???
they needed to get ranked this week to get pumped up to go against Purdue this weekend

 

I am pleased that my Huskies rolled over and playrd dead when the gifted Fresno State and Notre Dame. They actually seemed to play a little against UCLA. Like I said at the beginning of the season, it's going to be a long year for me.

BTW, I didn't mean to take anything away from either Fresno Stae or ND. Both of them played very strong games.

If ND wins its next game, it'll be rated. The year is yet young.

 

its just that i feel that the team needed to be ranked to get a little more pumped up for the game against purdue. or maybe this will motivate them to show that they should be ranked.

i think i'm the one thats scared. that kid Orton is amazing

 

I miss the little Notre Dame/FSU rivalry from 10-15 years ago. I used to get really nervous when the Irish played us. Now... eh, not so much.

 

I have to do it. Nothing personal, but Fresno St. is a WAC rival...Booooo!

yea, those darned strick rules on academic performance has hindered notre dame's football team a bit.

I'm pulling for Fresno St. and Utah.

I want those two to 'buck' the system, get into a BCS game, and win it. Until we get some kind of playoff system, I'm rooting for the underdog conferences.

playoffs are a good idea, the best idea, but that would mean that the students would have to play past the fall semester. the higher ups want to keep it within the semester.

 

The students already play past Fall semester (the bowls). They practice for those bowls all of December. The higher ups would like the money generated from the bowl games.

I would propose just a 4 team playoff, with the top 4 teams in the "Bowl Poll" (sounds better than BCS) involved. It would take all of two weeks. Three bowls (have the teams play in specially designated bowls, you know, to satisfy the sponsor needs). Besides, I-AA, Division II, III all use a 16 team playoff system and there have been no complaints to them.


I know there will still be people who will say that "the #5 team could have beaten the #4 team, there is no justice!" but I say 'oh well'.

Anyways, Fresno lost, so the point is almost moot.
