Dirk could be best European player ever to play in the NBA.

But for now, there are few more European players that had better NBA career than he did such as Rick Smits, Detlef Schrempf, Vlade Divac, Drazen Petrovic, Toni Kukoc, even Predrag Stojakovic when Webber is not around.

Zoran,

Vlade Divak better than Dirk. Oh no fraid not my man. The only award Vlade will ever get is an Oscar. He's one heck of an actor. When he was is his prime I used to love and watch him play just to see him fall. A guy next to him would fart and he would draw a foul from it. LMAO.

What did Nowitzki ever did in his NBA career? Best he got was western finals. Divac, on the other hand, played NBA finals in his 1st NBA season. And Divac was drafted by the Lakers to replace Kareem Abdul-Jabar.
Divac also had more success with national team. Back in 2002 Divac won gold medan on world cup with Serbia and Montenegro. Nowitzki never did that. Its not just how many points you score. Kings became one of the NBA best team when Divac started playing for them.

statistically, Dirk is the top Euro player in the NBA: 26.6ppg (3rd in NBA), 9.9rpg (9th, 2nd in defensive rpg) 40% 3-pt, 1.6 bpg (19th), 1.4 spg (24th), 85% free throws... And Dirk is still relatively young, 26, so he still has time to win Trophies, and Medals.
imo, If Dirk got to play with Magic Johnson, and James Worthy in their prime, or was sorrounded by the talented Serbia & Montenegro team, he would easily win the finals and some medals

Its not all about numbers. Iverson also have great numbers, but he stinks and no wonder 76ers are losing all of the time. Now that Nash left why do you think Dallas plays so poor? They are currently behind San Antonio, Phoenix, Seattle, and Sacramento in the west. Dirk may have good numbers, but he's not team player. Not in Dallas and not in German national team. Last time Serbia & Montenegro played against Germany we killed them 86:73. Vlade didn't play, but we still won gold. In that game Predrag Drobnjak (ex Seattle Sonics and LA Clippers, now Atlanta Hawks) killed Nowtizki. Nowitzki didn't scored his 1st points until late in 2nd quarter from free throw line.
Now Vlade, he's more of great guy than great player. Because of him Sacramento became from worst team in the NBA to best team in the NBA. He's team player and he's major reason why Stojakovic is great player. Because of Vlade, Serbia & Montenegro won gold medal on World Cup 2002 in Indianapolis. We defeated everybody including United States, who didn't lost a game in 10 years before that. Dirk never did anything like that.
There is also one more European player that is a lot better than Nowitzki. His name is Dejan Bodiroga. You probably never heard of him because he never played in the NBA. In Europe his nickname is "White Magic (Magic Johnson)". He's best player of Serbia and Montenegro and we always won titles because of him.

Charlotte used to have team called Charlotte Hornets. They moved to New Orleans 2 or 3 years ago and since then they are New Orleans Hornets. At the begining of this season, Charlotte got new NBA team called Bobcats. This is their 1st season.

I've been a Pistons fan ever since I first saw Isiah play in the All-Star game back in 1984. I was like 10. He's my favorite player ever. My loyalty has stayed with the Pistons ever since. Being from Cali, at the time I was definitely the odd ball. EVERBODY WAS A LAKER FAN. I used to go to Warriors games when I lived in San Francisco. They were always fun to watch in the early '90s. Hardaway, Mullin, Richmond, Webber, and Sprewell. Red Star, as far as European players, you might remember Sarunas Marciulionis from Lithuania. That guy was always tough. He would shoot the lights out and drive in the lane on anybody. No team does it for me like Detroit though. I'm glad Isiah was never caught wearing that ugly teal, red, and black uniform. But I love the "Bad Boys" through those bad times, too.

Pistons back to back

I've been a Bulls fan since '86 and remained one throughout and after the Jordan era, unlike many sell-outs who changed their preferences once MJ retired and Phil Jackson moved to LA.
Outside the NBA I used to follow the NCAA in the late 90's when a former high school mate of mine, Stefan Ciosici, was playing for Lafayette.

Well, some people do change opinions.
I used to be Sacramento Kings fan until Vlade Divac and Peja Stojakovic left. And I also moved to Wisconsin, so now my favorite team is Milwaukee Bucks.

Lakers since the Jerry West days.
Say what you will about the great guards since.
There's nobody else I want with the ball in his hands and the game on the line.

My Suns. Who knows how far they would have gone this year if Amare would have stayed seated on the bench in game five. It probably would have been game seven in Phoenix today. Oh well. Just to know that the Suns lost by only three points in game five without Amare. And they were ahead during most of the game.
