Definitely.

Boise State is a scoring machine, TCU is a very good well rounded team. Great defense and good offense.

TCU is my second favorite college team. I was accepted to go to school there, but went somewhere else instead. Always wished I would have gone there. TCU is in Fort Worth, Texas. Great private school and a great town.

Bummer about the loss. But a good game to watch at least.

Quarterback for TCU threw of his back foot too many times.

Wow... some mistakes were made, some plays were questionable... but what an exciting game!

It was a good game. Now if only the NCAA would do the right thing and let the winner of Alabama-Texas play Boise St. to decide the legitimate National Champion.

In my opinion, the national championship was decided 12/5 in Atlanta. The two top teams met: one won, and one lost. All these bowl games are just marketing exercises.

You must be an Alabama fan. A true Champion would be this year one without any losses and the only way to do that now would be to have the last 2 undefeated teams play each other. To say say one is better than the other is not right. Look what happened when Boise St. beat Oklahoma.

Yes, I'm an Alabama fan. Nonetheless, I don't see a playoff in the BCS future. Given the reality of the situation, I think that a post season meeting of first and second ranked teams is the closest you're going to get. That has already happened, on December 5th.

I don't see anyone beating Alabama. I'm a Tennessee fan but, ****, Alabama is just an awesome team on all levels. Watching TCU vs. Boise State only solidified my position.

How can anyone seriously think that Boise State is a legitimate contender against either Alabama or Texas?!? In a single elimination playoff bracket, they would undoubtedly lose in the first or second round.

This season, Alabama has already won against five (top 25) ranked teams, and Texas has beaten three. Two of those five Alabama opponents were top ten teams (at the time), while all of Texas' top 25 wins came against teams in the bottom half of the top 25. Then again, I guess SEC teams have more opportunities to play other ranked teams than "Big" (?) 12 conference clubs. Maybe we should change the conference name to Big SEC... Nah, you only it have to say it when you can't SHOW it so clearly.

How many ranked teams did BS, er, I mean Boise State, beat?

There are opportunities for other conferences to get the automatic BCS berths and therefore become a legitimate BCS conference.

If the WAC or the Mountain West reaches benchmarks of inter-conference play with wins and losses against other conferences as a group then they too can get the automatic bids that BCS conference title holders get and be seriously considered for the title games. But you can't let teams that go undefeated and only have one win or so against another sub-par BCS conference team be seriously considered for teh National Championship.

If they want in both BS and their entire conference need to prove they play at a level equal to other conferences. Schedule the games and make the wins. That's all there is to it. Look what Florida did to Cincy. And thats a Big East school. Sure a non-BCS team can beat an BCS team. Heck BS beat Oklahoma. But we are talking about Oklahoma too.

Without a doubt the SEC is the strongest conference in the land. top to bottom with the exception of maybe Vandy and Miss St. But its a strong conference. I'd say the Big 10, Big 12, and even Pac 10 as a group are definitely weaker. Then you drop down to the ACC, Big East, and then you drop down to the other conferences. But because Boise ran all over the WAC. Big deal. Who wouldn't.

As for the National Championship already being played on Dec. 5th. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if its wrong I guess. Win or Lose tomorrow is the BCS championship. Florida didn't make it because they play in a conference that has its own Championship game. Just like Texas did. What if Texas had lost in the final :01? Wow we would really be in a mess then. Bama would have destroyed Cincy, or TCU, or Boise and we would really be questioning the system.

Bama is good no doubt. Obvously Saban is quite the coach. He wins where he goes. Unless its the NFL. But that's no picnic. That's the big boys.

The game will be played on the field. I hope my team wins. I'm confident they can. If they don't so be it. It will be Bamas year and thats fine. But I don't think anyone can dispute that the winner tomorrow night will be the National Champion. Not anyone with a reasonable knowledge of college football.

I think the Boise vs Bama would have been good. Boise St. has one of the top if not the top defense(s) in the nation.

I don't follow the college thing enough to really comment...

But I will say that regardless of records, standings, votes by committees... any team can win or lose on any given day... (ask OK after BoiseState LOL)

And should we discontinue the Super Bowl because certain NFL teams have better records or standings (votes)??? Should we rescind those pesky games where the big cheese was upset by the underdog?

Until that final game is offered, the rest is politics & financial influence ruling over the risk, stress, injury, weather, talent, coaching, team, humanness... of individual athletes & coaches/team energy that can happen on the field during a big game.

Without that, I might as well just play video poker...

Someone will always be left out though. Whether its +1, 8 team, 16 team. There will always be a team that could have one that doesn't get in. If its 4 then the 5th team *****es. If its 8 then the ninth team *****es. We could always go back to the old way and have an AP champion voted on by sportwriters when most teams didn't even play each other. Championships where two teams claim the title. Heck it even happened under the BCS system with USC and LSU.
