It was exactly what I expected. It was just watching an A+ fighter beating a B(-,+) fighter all night long.

Mayweather was just too fast. If Mayweather could beat a Kostya Tzsyu or Ricky Hatton. He could be VERY close to a spot in the Hall of Fame.

What'll be intersting is if Floyd moves up in weight and fights a de la Hoya, Trinidad, Mosley, Forrest, Mayorga, or Zab Judah. All of those would be excellent fights...the kind of fights boxing needs right now.

Gatti is a warrior, but I think him moving back to 147 is a bad move, de la Hoya destroyed him at this weight. I just wish him the best.

I didn't watch Gatti-Mayweather, but I am sure Gatti was just overmatched by a more talented fighter. I can't stand the way Floyd runs his mouth, but I do have to give him credit.

This is an interesting time in boxing. There are very few dominant players out there waiting to be beaten. The only ones that come to mind are mayweather and Hopkins. Kostya Tzsyu was just beaten silly a few weeks ago.

I can't see Da la Hoya with Gotti. He is too much a pretty boy. Gotti will ground him up. He has a more powerful punch. Oscar is quicker but I don't know.

When I said I was disappointed, I ment it was too short a fight. Thought they would have finished all 12 rounds.

Sugar Mosley vs Da la Hoya ok. Maybe that would be a better match.

I think you misunderstood me.

Oscar already fought Gatti. Oscar TKO'd him like in 5 rounds....that was 2-3 yrs ago. Before Gatti got Buddy McGirt. I was saying that Gatti shouldn't move up in weight, he'll just get beat again like last time.

Hopkins loses

I didn't watch the fight, but it seems like Bernard got complacent and dogged it early in the fight. I'll bet he will knock out Jermaine Taylor in spectacular fashion in the rematch.

Saw the fight.....Taylor won early and mid rounds. By round 8 my scorecard was 7 rounds to 1 for Taylor. Lampley, Merchant, and Ledderman were screaming at Hopkins of letting the fight slip through his hands. Roy Jones Jr. calmly said, "Bernard's not looking for a decision, but to knock the kid out."

Hopkins finished strong sweeping round 9-12, and earning a 115-113 score(on my card) for Taylor. I felt that mathematically Taylor won, but Hopkins won(or got a draw in) the fight.....as Taylor struggled to finish(fatigue).

I felt Hopkins coughed up some early rounds, but after seeing other peoples cards they had 116-112(8 rounds to 4) and 117-111(9 rounds to 3) for Hopkins. Hopkins outpunched and outlanded Taylor.....which surprised me. Taylor just seemed more active, as he tried to land the jab. That's why I scored the early rounds for Taylor, but I'll have to see it again.

After the fight.......I sensed Hagler-Leonard all over again. Hopkins raised his hands as he thought he won, and Taylor looked as thought he lost. When they said split decision.....my heart sank. Apparently Jerry Roth scored the 12th for Taylor, which changed the fight from a draw to a split decision for Taylor. Let it be known..........no one........I repeat no one........should have scored the 12th for Taylor. Hopkins deserved the draw!

I should correct myself.........Duane Ford not Jerry Roth scored the 12th incorrectly.
