What do you like stripes or no stripes?

Perhaps, but only if painted on (for $40K rumored price, they darn well better be hand done at that!), and depending on the color combo. While cool and distinctive at first blush, they are a bit "loud" and might grow tiresome with time. But I'd like to see, live (though that colorizer thing is pretty cool too), some various combos.

I'd get stripes for sure. I had stripes put on my Trans Am after I saw that the dealership owner had done the same thing, and how cool it looked. Mine are vinyl and not painted, but it's the best vinyl job I've ever seen. Gotten a lot of compliments.
On the Shelby though, I'd want the stripes painted. I'd be very surprised if they were stick-ons, on a car this special. As for color combo, I'd probably go for gold stripes on black, Hertz-style.

OK, I'll be the first to give a wishy washy answer. I will order mine without stripes if that is an option. Later, if I want to add stripes I can. Not the double stripes that are on the concept Cobra, but the "Super Snake" type stripes or the thin - wide - thin stripes. That should separate mine from most of the others. Someone here on the boad is doing this to a red GT and it *really* looks impressive!

IMO Stripes have already become too generic, (from V6 stangs, to chrysler shelby cars) so offering them optional from the factory on GT's would be too much.
That said, I would like to order my Shelby sans all stripes, however, I like the "GT500" rocker stripes, but everyother V6 mustang has the "Mustang" rocker stripes...
My color combo will either be Red w/Black rocker stripes, or Dark Blue w/Black rocker stripes
What a dilemma

I WORK AT A DEALER IN COLORADO AND YESTERDAY WE HAD 2 CARS IN WITH SIDE STRIPES PEELING OFF IF THE SHELBY STRIPES ARE THAT CHEAP THEY CAN KEEP THEM! BUT THEY DO LOOK GREAT IN PICTURES. GIVE ME PERFOMANCE WHITE WITH REDFIRE STRIPES FULLY LOADED WITH MACH 1000 OH YEAH I CAN HARDLEY WAIT ANYONE WANT AN 03 AZURE BLUE MACH 1 AUTO TRANS 1 OF APRX 150 MADE 1ST MACH IN 30 YEARS AWARD WINNER AT RMMR 2004 JUST $30K CONTACT ME!
