I got this pic of someone elses car on the internet and I was wondering what is the thing I circled in the picture. Does it have to do with the S/C. Does this car even have a real S/C? I don't see the pullies? If it is S/C does it really use the stock airbox? I don't get it.

Wow, so Saleen does use the stock airbox. Didn't know that. So what is the thing I circled? Is that for the intercooler or something? Or possibly a vaccum setup?

Yea, I would say go with the conical filter. Why add all that power and still have it sucking through the stock airbox.

That looks like Saleen's version of a plenum cover not a s/c.

Yeah, i saw one in person from JDM at FFW way back in may and it looked like a stock car with a dif upper intake, but if u have some knowledge of the saleen's you'll notice it, excellent sleeper, until they hear the whiiiiine.
