I like this one. I like it better with the fogs also.

Hey Topnotch, I know you suggested body coloured mirror inserts a while back. Any idea if Ford will offer these???

Thanks.

The more I think about the GTR, the more it looks to me that Ford might be giving hints and cues of what the next Cobra and its powertrain are going to be like.

Watching the ricer's "fast&furious" parts market, Ford and Shelby certainly will focus on those "young urban racers" add-on stuff, if you reread some quotes from them. the GT-R will be on a catalogue cover of 2005 performance body parts.
Topnotch shows something that is soon for real.

Ford WILL NOT follow the "ricer" group.....they know Mustangs owners aren't appearance oriented but PERFORMANCE oriented

And why isn't this thread in with the rest of the photoshop threads?

I agree and disagree

Mustang owners are mostly performance oriented, especially the GT owners.

As for some of the GTR body parts making the FRPP catalouge, I think it would be a great idea, there were quite a few members here complaining of the plain hood and lack of rear quarter window scoops on the production car.

I agree that this car is hinting at the '06 cobra. even with bringing back the concept-taillights and boss-style front end.

Hmmm, just tell that to all the legions of potential '05 owners who want to go nuts with fake, utterly functionless scoops and spoilers

Hopefully the Mustang will hew to a less ornate, more form-follows-function stylistic ethic to differentiate itself from the overstyled fast and furious types, who can always glop on all manner of stickers, spoilers, scoops, ducts and whatever else from the aftermarket.

But hopefully Ford's own styling effort will be a bit above that of a high-school parking lot.

I think some of the elements on the GT-R racer will be evolved to production models, albeit toned down a bit. The nose in particular would, I think, hint strongly at a future "Boss" model, though perhaps instead of "Boss," they'll call it the GT-R to more firmly anchor its identity in the 21st century -- don't want to drive retro into the ground.

I believe we will eventually see the 5.0 cammer in a production car maybe sooner than we think, they put it in the GTR for a reason, other than they just had one laying around.

:worship:
Seems the car and parts catalogue is made for you then, VB, 18 years old and if I may quote you from another posting:
"there are a lot of people who have considered mustangs but went with solaras, camrys or whatever. I was one of them until the 2005 Mustang came out.."
Just wait to see. Typically my posts are surprising but a lot became reality.

...and btw - my post did not say anything about similarities or a comparison. This fast and furious trend just shows there is money to earn in this market segment and as far as I know these ff-kids buy performance parts as well.

The 5.0L cammer motor won't go into production. It can't meet emissions requirements and will only be offered as a crate motor for $14K+ through the FRPP catalog.

Ford could build a emissions legal cammer engine. the return of the 5.0 as often been rumored. I know the crate motor will never been in a production car.

 Huh? My name was mentioned? I do remeber saying something about Camrys and solaras, although I was using another persons example... I never considered those too.. Wait a minute... DID YOU JUST ACCUSE ME OF BEING A RICER...You would do well to remember... I am not. Although I do like neon undercarriage lights.
However my uncle has a new baby on the way and is going to need money...I may try to buy his *gasp* Camaro off him. Yes betrayal and all that, but I can't wait 18 months on a new stang, nor do I need a car note.
