Steeda is preparing to launch their newest Mustang--the Steeda Q525!
There will be only be 20 of these 500 horsepower, 530 lb.-ft. ultra high performance Steeda Mustangs built.
Each engine is a 5.0 liter hand-built by Steeda Chief Engineer, Steve Chichisola. His engines have powered many of the Steeda race cars, including the 1995 Cobra R, the famed #20, the winningest Cobra R of all time and the red 2003 Q400 R that won the production class at the Mustang 40th Anniversary Celebration, beating many purpose built race cars.
On BFG drag radials, the Q525 turned consistent 11.73 @ 117 mph quarter-mile runs at Steeda's Media Day at Moroso Motorsports Park. Price will be $61,000.
Photos coming soon!

Steeda Autosports introduces the 2006 Supercharged Steeda Q 525. The new model of which a limited number will be built, is the top of the line Steeda Q for the customer who demands the ultimate in performance and drivability. The engineers at Steeda Autosports have paid careful attention to vehicle dynamics to give the Q 525 world class ride and handling.
One looks tells you this is a serious performance car, with its new for 2006 light weight, competition front facia equipped with functional brake cooling ducts. These ducts feed cool air to the 14†Steeda front brakes of the Q 525. At the rear the new Steeda designed, engineered and manufactured rear sway bar with billet end links improves handling and rear compliance.
Power and Performance
The heart of the Q 525 is a Magna Charger 5th Generation MP112 hybrid roots style supercharger with internal bypass valve. The supercharger provides instantantanious boost from 1,200 to 6,000 rpm. The unique valve is responsible in eliminating parasitic drag from the crank shaft to the supercharger.
The Eaton internal rotating assembly components are durability tested to OEM standards and are accepted by Ford Motor Company. The same assembly as used in the Cobra, Lightning and Jaguar XJR.
Working with Magnuson Products, Steeda engineers created an intercooled system as well as a specific tune for the Q 525, resulting in a very impressive 500 horsepower with 530 ft. lbs torque.
Suspension
The suspension dynamics of the Q525 are in keeping with the Steeda Autosports tradition of designing, engineering and manufacturing quality suspension systems that are competition proven. In addition, they are constructed to strict Steeda quality standards and are precision engineered for both improved ride quality and the finest street and track performance.

pretty pricey.I have heard the procharger F-1A is making 900+hp on engine modded 2005 gt's!!! Here: http://www.procharger.com/2005_mustang_modified.shtml
Man, my garage is going to get full...
Let's see, so I will have one GT500; a GT-H (once they are auctioned off); a Parnelli Jones Edition Saleen; my current 99; a Steeda Q 525; and of course I need to leave a little room in case Ford actually makes a worthy SE...

hey brad....just wondering...is there any relation to THIS 5.0 and the 302 in the parnelli/saleen??...that 5.0/302 engine seems to be the one to have in these high-end SE stangs....when is Ford going to produce one for the...."masses"?......do you know something we don't???????
I couldn't read anything past the price. There are so many other cars I would rather get for that kind of money. What are these tuners thinking really -- is there that many people that want $60k Mustangs?
I first I thought "oh wow, this car is cool."
But then, after reading some people's posts (and specifically Rampants'...) I too think their way: 60k? Ummm... doesnt the Cobra have 475 for $38k!?
Personally, I would rather have a OEM Cobra that looks awesome and will be MUCH more collectible than this Steeda. Now... the Boss!? That's a different story. Lower price, cooler looks, not as much power, but hey-it's N/A!
But the Corvettes have 500hp, better handling (and even looks) and they only go for $50k!
Man... I need some money. Like right now.

One way of looking at it is for $60k, you can actually buy a 500 h.p. turn key mustang, which is about the same price (street, not list) as a Cobra. I agree it won't be as collectible, but it will perform better thanks to its lighter weight and better performance add-ons. Btw, the Z06 Corvette, the only one with 500 h.p., lists for $70k and is selling for $90k.

Did they threaten your life when you took the pics? Is that the butt of a shotgun in the right pic or is that just me?

When I was there last week I got to see this beast as well but didnt get to hear it. They showed me the video of the media day at Moroso during the 1/4 mile run and it leaves the line pretty soft but man does it take off around the 60 ft. They had no 60 ft times under 2.0 so obviously with some better tires this thing is a low 11 sec ride at worst. Too pricey for me too but its fun to watch.
That surf board mounted on the back has GOT to go.
Personally, looks-wise, I'd MUCH rather have this (minus the big decals on the side) >>

I love the Shelby with the name on the back centered ... looks tough
The Steeda Q ... good to see the 5.0 getting some run again. I think these cars will be only valuable to collectors and will end up as show cars. The positive though is that Saleen, Steeda, Shelby, etc are building the 2005 model line mustangs bringing real good popularity. Its expensive but it feels good.
