Smiley face?

I love this car! But - the lower portion of the front facia needs redesigned in my view. It looks too much like a smiley face.
I would like to see a nod to the '03/'04 Terminator front facia but that's just my opinion.
Still, the Shelby is awesome!

If they would use the Roush style front end, I think it would compliment the car perfectly. All they need to do is to put the fog/driving lights inboard, like the earlier Cobras had them, close together.

It's functional. They actually enlarged the grill area to help shove more air into the engine, and the shape helps airflow. Also, sticking two big fogs up there would certainly interrupt the airflow, something they don't want to do.

If you look at the picture of the 68 shelby that was posted above, you will notice that the ower grill on that car has the same shape as the lower grill on the new car. One of the big differences is that the old car had fogs in the middle of the grill to break things up some.

you gotta remember too, the round foglights have been a styling cue of SVT for as long as i can remember, so I doubt they would drop that. This isnt a direct redux of the old Shelbys, but rather cues and design elements implemented into the new body, and done with a more modern flavor. It's a beautiful car, and I look forward to owning one come next summer.

For me, it's the angles on the front near the headlights that detract as much as the smiley face lower grille area.
Again - it is a GORGEOUS car. But, it could be better in my view.
I'm not a fan of the grin nor of the angled areas; to me, they detract from the overall front end view of the car - but just in a small way. Those 'flaws' are not deal breakers to me but I think that we WILL see a slightly different nose on the production car.
Remember - this a 90% 'concept' car, there will be some changes based upon what Ford is saying.
Either way, it's ALL good.

I prefer a smile than the sad droopy look of the v6/GT
