This is a very odd poll. Who in there right mind will take the Mustang over the Vette. I love the Mustang, but come on. The Z06 is a machine.

Just curious... A lot of people in here are just about looks.

Many would take a small block 8 Stang over a BIG block 8 Vette just b/c "the stang looks better."

Lets just wait and see the poll numbers.

IMO you have to be a very foolish person to pick Shelby.

I hope you all know the Vette has a 7 Liter N/A engine and is producing 500/500 STOCK!

The car is light as heck, and will down right murder a Shelby GT 500 and most other cars for the matter.

But I know your saying HUGE $$$ Dif. But this Poll says IF they were the same price.

Well now that your more educated on the poll.... Please choose the Vette.

Or be arrested by the idiot police!!!!

Why does this matter, though? You won't see a C6 Z06 for $40k for years, and you'll be lucky if they retail anywhere south of $70k. Seems like a somewhat spurrious exercise to me *shrug*

Guess I'm all alone on this!! If someone gave me the Vette, I'd sell it for $40k and get the Shelby, or just a GT and build it my way, especially if I couldn't unload the Vette for $40k!!

What exactly is the point of this poll? It's like saying: "Who would you rather take, Jessica Simpson or Marge Simpson?

Doh.

And for the record, the new Z06 will flat out destroy the Shelby...mop the pavement with it...spank it...vaporize it. Hands down, no contest.

The Shelby will, however, probably best the standard C6 - at least on the straightaway.

Your proven assets and abilities makes you the unquestionable and unanimous choice as the next Chief of Idiots.

It doesn't matter how you bring up the subject. The GTO is still a POS and you have to live with it. Bon apetite!

the GT500 is suppost to end up selling for an approx. $65K w/ dealership markups.

The Shelby. I don't care how well the vette performs, it'll always be a whitetrash supercar.

Thanks for the "education", but unless I'm reading wrong, the 7.0 litre [LS7-427] is GM's largest "SMALL" Block V8, NOT big block. Please feel free to "google" the info.

Also, it was designed with the C5 Racer in mind; therefore 2 different cars all together. BUT, If they were the same price, I'd take the vette. That way I'd get about $30,000 worth of technology free!

So really your poll is a no-brainer!

I'd take the GT-500. Yeah, the Vette will perform better, but in my opinion they don't have half the character of the Shelby. It wouldn't be "mine," if that makes sense...?

I want performance and handling you can have the "character ". Man the Z06 will flat out beat the Cobra in every aspect of the game. I won't be surprised that the Cobra doesn't sell for $50 large plus with the feeding frenzy and the dealer markups. :notnice:

I can beat your "POS" Cobra with my N/A GTO any day. And look who sppent 5-6K more.

I come off the lot with more hp and better handling.

With that much money I can buy a s/c kit and be pushing 500 HP. stinks to be in the 390 crowd

Bon apetite!

Cobra's actually dyno at over 400HP and a pulley change and computer tune will easily put them at 500HP+. Stock for stock, you're GTO will not blow away an '04 Cobra, not matter how much you try to convince yourself.

BTW, I'm glad you like your GTO but stop acting like an obnoxious troll. :notnice:

That's unlikely.

And by "bon appetite," I assume you mean the Shelby will eat the GTO for breakfast. So true.

Then there's the "Cavalier" body style we're all so fond of.

Since you've clearly gone "to the other side," why are you posting here anymore - and if you are, why haven't you changed your avatar? Sounds like buyer's remorse coupled with ***** envy to me.
