Hello,

Any suggestions on where to get a new Saleen within a reasonable price range? I heard that the N/A Saleens can be had in the high 30k range. My local dealer here (Rich Ford or aka Ripoff Ford) marks there Saleens up unbelievably.

Come to Colorado I purchased an 06 281sc for $49k since they wanted to markup the Shelby $10k over msrp I asked about A plan on a Saleen and wrote it up drove it home no regrets!!!!! I think they will hold their value as well as a GT with snakes and a plastic Shelby name plate on it!!!!!! I have made 3 car shows and won 3 trophys guess other people agree see pic!!!! my advise get 1 if u can their awesome!!!!!!!

 

Did you do somthing with the tail lights? everyone I've ever seen has had only the outer 2 tail lights and the backup light showing, ive never seen one with all 3, it looks good. If so Is the light still fuctional with the black panel over it?, or do they unplug it?

The Saleens here are unbelievably expensive. Just look at this http://www.erinwoodford.com/index.php?ID=saleen . Remember that its CAD, but still.

 

Also check out used saleens.. I bought my o6 sc convert with 1,000 miles on it for 49,500.... Just goes to show you that their are good deals out their. I also was not willing to pay 10-15k over for the shelby.. Love my saleen and won a few awards at car shows....

 

Sorry been gone for a few days, yes when you remove the inside light cover it looks like it is suppose to. The bulb has been removed so it wont work untill replaced, but web electric sells a perfect plug and play sequential harness to make up for time wasted to correct the look.
also it looks like you could afford to fly to Co buy a new Saleen and dive home!!!! I know the sales person personally to talk to he is getting 2 PJ"s they will sell for $51 no markup and A plan ok on Saleen!!!!!!

 

Team Ford of Marietta (Northside of Atlanta) has a new 06 Vista Blue non supercharged Saleen coupe for 43K. It is car #125 I beleive. I saw it last week, the sticker was around 50 (it has some options like the upgraded wheels and other stuff I can't remember) Nice looking car, I guess they want to get rid of it to make room for the 07

You could always build a clone if you like the looks and have some mechanical skills. I built this one for 42K including the origional price of the car. I saved a little money and even have the all glass roof option!
