Hello.
How come on this saleen there is NO charge for the "chrome saleen wheel/tire upgrade" at $1255.00??

ebay blue Saleen with no charge on chrome saleen wheel upgrade

Would this be considered an automatic discount?

For some reason or other, this happens. I'm not sure if it's because of the relationship the dealer has w/ Saleen, or if it's due to the # of Saleens sold thru the dealer, or what.

Well, I have the answer. Saleen has or had a very limited supply of 9in wheels. Plus there assembly plant is stacked with Pirelli’s. If the dealer had ordered the car WITHOUT the wheel and tire upgrade, the dealer would receive the car with the upgrade for FREE. If they ordered the car with the upgrade, well they were charged. I was lucky to have had figured this out before ordering my car and was able to score the free wheel and tire upgrade. Who knows how long it's going to last, but I'm sure not for long.

I know that the 42k price tag is going to have to come down a little bit. Who would want one when the GT500 might be under 40K?

Please bare with me, but my eyes are playing tricks on me because I see a mark up of $1,200.00 for the wheels.
