The new Cobra will have a 5.4 litre, 4v, Whipple Twin Screw blower, 6-speed, and solid axle! The car will be underated at 440/450 with only 8lbs of boost. The best part is that the car will be under 40k, more like 36K. The name will be Shelby GT500 by SVT. This came from a very good source. I guess we will see if it holds true this week.

Yea, he couldn't say alot about the looks. It has stripes and the foglights are not in the grill. I guess we will see!

underated???? More like way underated, I am no expert but I would have to think that setup would be good for more like 500hp!

I may be wrong ,but I'll be extreemly surprised if this car comes in under 40k with Carrol Shelby's name on it.Original Shelbys are fetching 150k?, Elenores are like 90 - 100k. I can see the dealers skeaming now, you think you saw MSRP markups on the 05 Mustangs? Wait till they get their hands on this car, dealerships wil be doubling the price with mark ups, or as one local dealer called it, "Maket value"!.

I agree completely. When we bought our 05, we refused to pay over sticker.

I agree 100% this is a pet-peeve of mine. Unfortunately, there will be idiots paying it in the beginning. The excitement will die down and the prices will normalize eventually. There will be some dealers out there willing to do MSRP right off the bat. Shop around and refuse to pay over sticker. The longer the cars sit on the lot, the sooner the price comes down.

As reliable as any I guess, but then again who knows what Ford is going to pull. There are many who say 440 is not even close, it will be more like 500! I just wish someone could confirm whether or not the show will be on tv.

Mmmm.... 5.4L + Whipple + 6sp + live axle + $36K = MINE. Yum. I don't care what they rate it at, 450, 500... just as long as it has the Whipple. They underrated the 03 by quite a lot, and that is a tradition I would like to continue...

The Shelby will absolutely not be cheaper than $40K, try more like $48k.
That's before the dealers mark them up of course.

Oh, so you know this for sure anaki? It could be true, but many are saying it will be under 40k. I guess time will tell!
