Our latest model - the U69 Mustang...

Need some opinions please. We're still on the fence as far as using the B9 hood scoop (installed) instead of the shaker unit.

Thanks,
Matt

the B9 looks too big and out of place, use the shaker.

No shaker. It wouldn't be period-correct.

If you want to be period correct, the 69 Boss 302 had no scoop or shaker. 69-70 429 Boss had one similiar to the car pictured here.

Looks like Cervini's B9 kit with their Quarter Window Covers and Shelby CS69s slapped on it... looks good though!

Great looking car..I say the shaker but only if you can use any other one than the cdc which i beleive comes with the cervinis hood ( I say cervinis shaker hood with the fang shaker unit.)
The cdc shaker is ugly once the hood is raised and I'd go with a more subtle spoiler..it's about the only thing on the cervini klit I don't like.
But these are all just my stylist opinions.
Great car over all though!

BTW where did those 3qtr window covers come from? I like em

Looks **** good. If it were mine the only thing I'd do to the exterior is the half mirror inserts (yellow) from Midwest.

Saw the article about your U66 in 5.0 magazine this month. That's a nice looking car. Mine will look similiar when I'm done (silver with Blue LeMans).

If you plan on making more of this model, I would recommend using the trufiber cobra roadster hood. It has a functional hood scoop that looks just like the Roush bolt on one. Plus it will route ambient air right on top of your C&L CAI.

I've got one of these hoods sitting in my garage right now.

That is a badass hood, wish they madeit outta CF instead of FG. One concern I have is that when washing the car, water would be routed to fall on the C&L filter also, unless there's a gravity-based rain trap somewhere like my Viper GTS' airbox had. Since you have one in your garage, can you tell me if that concern was addressed in the design?

Thanks!

Mine is all boxed up and behind several other items right now. I don't recall any gravity-based rain trap though. Recommend you contact trufiber directly about this concern. If it is a potential problem, then I guess I will just keep my covered airbox on (or go with a CAI that locates the air filter further towards the front driver's side corner so that it's not directly below the opening).

Strickland - you are correct, and thanks for the positive comment!

TRQ QTRHRSE - not yet. This was our first U69 edition. We may try it on a future one.

burningman - the 69/70 style window covers are a new product from Cervinis (we are a Cervinis dealer).

AFBLUE - we appreciate the input. Something that didn't come across in the feature article of our 1st U66 Mustang in the latest issue of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords magazine was the fact that we built it in March of 2006 (months before the Shelby Hertz and Shelby GT Mustangs were announced). Many of the items (the hood you mentioned and the CDC grill that others mentioned in a post about the U66 recently) weren't available at that time. Mike Johnson at 5.0 took pictures of the car in September of last year and it just now made it to print. I hate looking like a copycat (although we tried to stay close to the original 1966 GT350)!

Thanks again everyone,
Matt
