New car designs often look strange at first. I did not like the C6 Vette or even the Viper at first. Both look pretty sharp to me now.

I bet it looks good in person. It'll grow on us and we will really learn to like it. When the first official photos of the '05 Mustang were coming out, a lot of people thought it was too plain and/or ugly.

Talk about trying to talk yourself into liking something! It reminds me of my parents trying to convince me that I would learn to like brussel sprouts. Didn't then...don't now.

I look at its function first. IT is better than Ford making one that doesn't function well but looks good.
I really think when we see it in person, it will look very aggressive. Everybody said they didn't really like the 2005 Mustang GT until they saw it. There is a lot of presence to a car that cannot be seen in pictures.
The hood is alright, not exactly what I wanted but I can live with it or change it later. Overall I like the car though, and I am sure I will like it even more when I see it in person.... and drive it.

... There is a lot presence...

What a coincidence! My first wife believed in presence.
The police presence... the attorney presence... the new boyfriend presence... the...
I'd be happy to introduce you.
Much like the '68. Think of it as "Swallowing the competition". I don't think the hood translates good in pics. I don't think it's as perty as the show hood, but I can live with it, definitely. Shore has a perty mouth, though!!!
Personally don't care for the hood, maybe if the vent pieces were body color instead of unpainted black, and recessed a little more, then maybe... also needs stripes to complete the look. After seeing the car's "big mouth", that might just explain why it is so heavy!

That way it is all hidden and not as noticeable.
