Now that I see the interior, it looks extremely tacky. I personally dont belive carbon fiber belongs anywhere on the inside of a car unless it is a racecar. Plus I think it just looks ugly. The interior looks very unfinished, they even kept the same shifter handle. The only thing I like about the interior is the seats.

WTF? The carbon fiber is missing on the passenger side!

If you stick panels on the doors they could fly off and hit the passenger, the airbag will still deploy.

It would inhibit the deployment of the airbag.

What do panels on the door have to do with the airbags? They are talking about the dash.

They are fogs, someone even posted on here how they converted them from fogs into driving lights.
Even says so in the owners manual:

Find which relay it in, pull it and bridge the connections. I know a few people that have done that with SN95's, no reason why it wouldn't work on an '05!

Great pix. The ones here in GA dind't have the JR signature seats, just GT ones. Had all the carbon fiber, not sure about the guages. I still think that the whole Stage 1 process was hurried, hope there is some improvement on Stages 2 & 3.

I think these looks pretty good!!
(although that stuff on the dash - what is that crap? That's ugly as SIN.... makes it look like the interior of a battery powered toy car for a 10 year old.....)

Still don't like the fact the side louvers are screwed on, ouch...poor car. hate the fake carbon fiber and the back end. Still looks to rice for me. I don't mind the front bumper but the car is still lacking something without stripes and a hood scoop. Stock rims makes no sense to me. Any idea on how much someone is paying for this car since it is just an appearance package?
#29
dont like it, looks unfinished. definitely should have bigger rims and tires, be lowered, at a minimum a leather wrapped steering wheel (IUP lite minimum for interior, or something aftermarket). What are the engine upgrades? the previous generation mustangs body lines seem to fit the "kind of blocky" body kit that Roush likes to use IMO.

From what a salesman told me, the Stage 1 GT's have 320 hp as compared to 300 on the standard GT.

It's just the Sport edition, only thing performance wise is the exhaust.

Well there is a Stage 1 thread in addition to this one on the Sport.

One question people, @ roushperf.com, under Stage 1 '05 mustang, it lists componets contained in the Stage 1. One of them is "18" chrome wheels", I have yet to see one w/ these wheels (except on the Stage 3). Has anyone else seen these wheels in person?

Remember, those aren't foglights in the grill but driving lights. Plus, the more lights you have, the easier it is to blind oncoming cars. Big rigs are worth double points. Triple if they end up in a ditch.
On a side note, I kind of like it, except for that carbon fiber interior.

I still don't understand why they added fog lights below the head lights, but left the one's in the grille.

Sarcasm, sorry. Hence the blinding big rigs comment.

I thought the Sport versions were based on the v6 model and the Stage 1's were based on the GT models.

yeah, i definitely feel the same way. it just doesnt work together. and i think the interior is the worst. can get over the stock wheels. the visible rivets. that interior other than the seats it UGH! and the wing and rear bumper are weird.

O.K., then please school me in the knowledge so that I will know.
Really, I've been checking the website @ roushperf.com. The only thing I can tell the difference in is the name and the price. Thanx.

No, well at least last year you could get a Stage 1 based on the V6, the sport was available on both the V6 and GT.

They don't have any info on their site about the Sport trim for the '05, all I see is the Stage 1. For the '04, they have it itemized out what is included in each level of trim.
