nobody answered my question in the last thread about the 5.0, so im gonna ask it again...
Those there need to be a certain amount of these cars w/ the same engine produced for the public so the car can enter the Grand Am Cup?????? a la the 1969 and 1970 BOSSes that were sold to the public so it would be able to enter the Trans Am Races

The answer is YES, they need to sell the car. If this is really a 5.0, Ford will have to sell 500 with the 5.0
The PDF I linked to above has the rules AND a list of cars that have been OK'd for use in Grand Am Cup. It does not include the 2005 Mustang, as the book is dated Sept 2004.
I am not sure what the current status of this vehicle is.
So is this thing really goign to be in races? Because if so they need to sell 500. I wonder how many of those 500 will go to the US and how many will come here to Canada. It really sounds like a sweet deal if you ask me. 500 special Boss Mustangs build for racing all packing a 302.
Well actually the 5.0L Cammer is actually a 305. A Regular 5.0 is the 302.

I agree with M1RIFLE i believe that they have to see 500 cars in order to take part in grand am racing...They could always slap the cobra R label on it and sell 500 real quick

Heh those are the original wheels from the white with blue stripes car. Nothing but a 1" lip on the rear and it looks better then 90% of the sema cars.
