I would not doubt his opinions would be considered even though his involvement with the development of the GT500 was minimal, he can assist in refinining ideas.

I don't think he'll have anything to do with a BOSS... that was Larry Shinoda, not Carrol Shelby. I don't think that there will be a BOSS until Ford works out the rights with Shinoda BOSS

Hmmm, I've been wondering for a while now just what exactly Shelby's role was in the GT500.

Is he merely lending a face and personality to the car...or was he actively involved in it's design?

I'm sure a little bit of both.... probably more the name sake, but the man knows what he's doing, and I'm sure the SVT engineers were more than happy to listen to anything he might have to offer.

I think the Shelby name would sell riding lawnmowers, not that he'd have to resort to that.

Ford better speed it up. His body language hints he doesn't have too many shaves left.

He can still drive though, after watching that video on Edmunds, he didn't seem to have too much trouble whipping that car around and giving it a run for its money. How many 82 yr olds can do that? I hope he does live a few more years while these GT500s roll out, but who knows...
