I was at work tonight (I work at a gorcery store) and I went to the bathroom and I found a maxim magazine somebody had taken off the shelf. so I'm reading it and flip the page and there is a big picture of an 05 Foose Stang. The article under the picture is talking about these Mustangs being available to the public. Its said 2500 Foose Mustangs will be on showroom floors sometime in the near future. Has anybody else heard of this at all?

Here is the Mustang it had pictured:

I’m not sure I’m going to like the thought of 2500+ stangs with my wheels either. If and when that does happen some might say I’m trying to make my car a “Foose Stallion Clone†:bang:

The people building them (Unique Performance) anticipate 3,000 per year:

I think Foose put a Vortech blower in there, didn't he? Or will the production models only be cosmetic?

i frankly can't see how this even possible!

i'm familiar with the works of chip foose, but unless he has a full production line and team dedicated to the Mustang, i can't see how 2,500 would roll off his ramp even in 5 years!

time will tell.. i suppose

Unique performance are the ones it will be rolling off for on behalf of Chip. The car and how many will be produced have been on the website before, I believe Brad posted about it in the High-perf section.

this was posted about a while ago, just do a search there is a real long thread on it already with lots of details, but the gist of it is that Unique Performance is building them and designed them, Foose had nothing to do with the creation of the car, he just sold his name to them to use on the car to help sell it. I think they are planning on retailing around 80 grand or something like that, mostly show, very little performance mods and IMO they are very fugly, and the one in the pic posted at the top of this thread is the one that was specifically made for a giveaway by bfgoodrich

If Unique Performance is doing it, it will have as much go as show, most likely. However... and no offense to the great Chip Foose... but I don't like the design of the car one bit. They couldn't pay me $90,000 (or whatever they will charge for it) to trade that in for my own '05.

If you go to Unique Performance's website you will see that they are planning on making aroun 3,000 of them a year. They will carry pricetag around 38-39k and will be most show and little go (I think it is going to be rated at like 325 or something). However they also say that they are going to be developing a supercharger (with FRP or something I think) that will likely be a dealer option on the car.

Go to the Unique Performance site - they have all the info that is available right now, and contact info if you want more. I sent them an email when this car was first announced and they pretty much told me what is on the site now. I think they are looking to have the cars to dealers sometime around Jan or something like that.
