Aside from everyone's opinion about whether or not IRS will/should be an option, has anyone else caught some discrepencies in the photos that have been released?

Mine are:

1) Only the photo of CS in the car has boost guages on the A-pillar. Of course the car he is in looks to be a GT in comparing the interiors with what was released? If the production model doesn't have a seperate pod for boost guages, where are they going to put it (use the Battery charge spot on the instrument cluster)?
2) The third brake light (in the ducktail) doesn't work in any of the photos. Did this project get rushed that badly?

Just to throw my .02 worth out I'm not sold on this car yet. I just bought an '05 so I think I'll wait to see what SE cars come out and for prices to settle down. Now that the cat is out of the bag we can only speculate on options or SEs...

I'd love a Mach or GT350 with a NA 5.4 (aluminium block) with 4 valves and an IRS option. :worship:

Absolutely. And from what I've heard, other S/E's are definitely coming.

I haven't seen a photo of the car with the brakes applied, could you post the photo?

Is this the photo you are refering to? Those are the taillights, not the brake lights. The brake lights only illuminate the two outermost lights and are brighter.

Yeah, except there were two photos from the same angle in the press release. In the second photo the lights were substantially brighter, so I assumed those were the brakes vs the taillights. I don't suppose it matters much, just an observation. I'm not a big fan of the "ducktail" anyway.

Even though the leather is there, there is no embroidered cobra on the seats...

a little thing, but details *do* matter

If you look at the gauges, you will see the boost gauge.

They've got to leave a few things for people to customize/personalize their cars Some might want "SVT" in the headrest, or "Shelby" or "GT500" or a Snake...

I'm under the impression that the car he's driving is the test mule - it's not going to look like the real thing yet.

The car in the photos is (probably) for the NY Auto Show unveiling. Maybe it's not done? Maybe the production version will have changes made between now and then?

Good catch Chad. I had not looked at the High Res photos yet. I do like the instrument layout MUCH better than my GT, but it's definitely something I can live with.
