Ladies and gentlemen,

The Dale Jarrett Performance Mustang is now available at Dale Jarrett Ford. We have attempted to remain true to the Dale Jarrett approach of subtle, yet serious style and performance. The 2005 Dale Jarrett Performance Mustang has come to fruition thanks to a lot of hard work from the guys at C&L, Diablo Sport, Street Scene, Eibach, Goerlich's and Curt and Wesley at Dale Jarrett Ford. It's an affordable, great looking alternative to other specialty Mustangs, and even more exclusive. It looks serious, and performs even better! Dyno tests show a solid 25-30 horsepower and torque increase across the board in the V8 car, and you wouldn't believe how well both the V8 and V6 cars handle. We hope you like it and you can contact Curt Rhodes at Dale Jarrett Ford (800)-849-8521 x2347, to get more details and reserve one today! Unlike other aftermarket specialty cars, these cars can be modified to meet the desires of the owner. Ask Curt what options you have.

Some pre- and post- production photos of the V6 and V8 models can be viewed here:

http://homepage.mac.com/bt15/DJ_Performanc...otoAlbum26.html

The body kit on the black GT is the same body kit available on both cars, but other performance modifications differentiate the two. Both cars receive special suspension kits, and unique wheels. The V8 car can be had with the Dale Jarrett Performance driveline upgrade, good for the 25-30 horsepower and torque quoted above. Both cars will also receive the interior kit (custom headrests, floormats, dash plaque and underhood serial build badge). Both vehicles will also come with a special certificate of authenticity signed by Dale Jarrett. A full bown web page is in the works and we'll link it here when complete. Thanks for checking it out and for all of the support and feedback we received from you during conception. It's because of people like you that this vehicle was possible, and why you get first option on these cars! They've not yet been advertised anywhere else.

Kent
I can take everything except the rims, personally.

WOW - I REALLY like the black GT - think that looks outstanding....

Too bad they are apprently only selling the complete modded cars.....

If they released that as a body kit, I would SERIOUSLY think about getting that!

Sweet Black one, minus the vette style side emblem and and wheels which belong on a bropped caddy. I love it otherwise.

Isn't the bodykit just the Street Scene kit? If so, it's available now

I like the way that looks as well; except the rims and the DJ name on everything.

The stangnet link is not working at this time. I tried searching Stangnet for the post but it doesn't pull it up either. Anyone know where to get more info? I have emailed the person from the pictures but looking for more info online.

Thanks for any help.

Talked to Curt about the DJ Mustang.

They are limiting the number to 40 GTs and 40 V6 versions. With the GT you get the special badging as well as a "custom made Magnaflow exhaust" just for these cars. They also have an additional kit you can get put on the car which includes chip, cold air, and I am not positive what else that will help the car attain 400 hp N/A.

However, that does blow the warranty with the full add on kit. The nice thing is you can get the car, which comes with an additional 28-30 hp over the regular GT and have the additional kit added later once your warranty runs out. The car is still considered original even after you get the additional items put on since it is from them directly.

All in all it sounds like a great deal. Curt is the one that designed/engineered the car and he is very dedicated to keeping the cars numbers very limited. He stated for 06 they will do something different to make sure the 05s stay very rare.

Just wanted to give you additional info. I have wired money to hold one and will be purchasing one. Since Ford pulled the plug on the Pony Drive I will go this route.

i would think since the dealer is offering the kit as a package then they will cover any warranty issues. just like saleen covers their cars with fords warranty. would definitely check on this though. everything looked good except for all the DJ badging

I will ask again about the additional upgrade voiding the warranty. As I stated above, the upgrade involved at least a cold air intake and a new chip, not sure what else is included. Maybe the new chip is what voids the warranty. Will ask and post any info I can get from them.
