Galaxie is 100% correct. From what I heard, the 2001 Bullitt Edition was a 1 time thing, per the request of the McQueen Family and Estate. I don't think they will make another one. Plus Ford would have to pay BIG $$$$$ for the licensing of the name Bullitt. Most likely ALOT more than back in 2001.

And I bet getting an 05+ 'Stang painted in DGH would cost a couple thousand (at least to get a GOOD paint job).
Oh well, we can dream can't we?

Shelby is great for Barrett-Jackson and the idiots that throw away their money. McQueen was simple, down to earth, caring for the average guy who works for a living and brought the Mustang worldwide exposure.
I believe Ford knows how to take advantage of its past players and their promotional value.
1 Bullitt - cool man I hope you are right. I would LOVE to see an s197 version of the Bullitt and all your arguments sound logical to me.
Plus wasn't there something in that Motortrend with the green S197 and the new Charger where they mentioned working on one in the future????

Motor Trend did not disclose any information confirming a possible Bullitt SE but they did enthusiatically hint it.
The fact that Ford has declined to bring back the DHG color on the existing platform even though there are no copyright infringements of the rights of either Warner Brothers or the estate controlled by Chad and Terry McQueen by using the color, is a good indication for those waiting and in fact, begging for the SE, as well as the trouble Motor Trend and Ford went through just for a magazine article.

Chad, I hope your right, I really do. With my Mustang GT that is coming in, I always said, that I'll hold onto this car for a LONG time, but if they make a Bullitt edition again, I think its getting traded in. Only time will tell us I guess.
I really hope they do I think DHG would look amazing on a new bullit. Its the right style for it and I think it would sell. Bullits are still selling for 16-18 gs. If they don't make another one I will be kicking myself that I didn't buy an original back in 01 when I had a chance.
