Wild Mustangs: Tuner XMP builds Crazy Horse II; Shelby's 'other' GT500
Here’s another Mustang tuner with a twist: Eric Cheney (no relation to the U.S. vice president) plans to build 1000 copies of the Boyd Coddington Crazy Horse II, based on the Crazy Horse I made on Coddington’s television show American Hot Rod.
There will be two levels of Mustang offered by Cheney’s Xtreme Mustang Performance (XMP) in Aliso Viejo, California. Level I will have 365 hp and feature everything from Baer six-piston brakes to new coilovers. Level II will have all the Level I stuff plus 650 hp, provided by a Paxton supercharger, an air-to-air intercooler and TTC six-speed transmission.
There are many other standard features, too many to list here but enough to add $23,871 to the price of your 2005 Mustang GT. That’s for a Level I. The 650-hp Level II is another $60,522. That’s a lot of coin. You might even find a used Ferrari for that much. But there are beaucoup performance add-ons, and you will have one of the baddest Mustangs in your area.
The first finished Crazy Horse II debuts at the Fabulous Fords Forever celebration April 17 at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California.

Seems WAY too expensive, and a little lame in the looks department. I can't imagine what could justify that price tag. Well, other than the name that is.
Oh yeah, I hate Boyd Coddington. I watch the show just for laughs. What a poorly run company.

I work about a mile from there and may have to go check out there shop one of these days!
