?? about value of Roush 427R.. trade in etc..

I am having to do the the unthinkable and having to get rid of my Roush 427r. It is a 2007 with 11K miles. What would be a good price for the car, Retail and Trade in value. I am mostly likely having to trade it in and would it best to take to a Ford dealership to get the most for trade.?? Would love to hear your opinion?? The car does not have the brake upgrade or the carbon fiber dash...

thanks and let me know

Mark

watch some of these auctions and see what they sell for.I would think that most dealerships would all give about the same dollar value for your car. Try to sell it outright you will get more for it that a trade in. Good luck.

Comp it to a similar equipped Saleen, they are listed in KBB, Roush isn't just yet, but they are working on it.

If thats what going to happen I don't think you really have much of a choice when it comes to value. No telling what they would offer you. I've seen a few low mileage(3000 miles or less) 07's sell for $34,000-$38,000 so trade in will be lower then that. This will be one of those painful learning experiences we all have from time to time. Good Luck!!!

First find the car you want and get the best price you can. Then tell them you might trade in the stang.
Go to several dealers for sure. Lie to each one about what the other dealership will give you for it.

HA! Ya right!!!!

They have been "working on it" since I sold mine in 2004....

I loved my Roush...it was a great car, but Roush has a real issue with the secondary market...THERE IS NONE!!! Without them listing it in NADA, edmunds, kbb, etc...the value of a Roush is the exact same as the mustang platform it was based on....So if bought a $50,000 stage 3 back in 2002, then you would have a bank loan value of a 2002 Mustang GT...What is that now...$10,000? It took me forever to sell my car because of this...unless someone has the cash in hand, they are not going to be able to finance it. It is a shame because of the premium you pay for thier name, that they do not return the favor and list their cars for a secondary market. Saleen has done it right the entire time by documenting their cars and listing it. Roush has a LONG Way to go before I would ever buy one again. The only thing they have created is the worlds fastest depreciating mustang....

I am beginning to believe you on this..

I am so disappointed and really shocked at what a Ford dealer will offer me for my Roush 427R - everyone will only offer me $29K at the MOST!! That means $18K hit in one year!!! I cant believe it!!

Sort of shows what these cars are really worth post sale. I'm not surprised at all. All the more reason to 'really' think about your purchase before you sign on the dotted line.

Imagine all the goofs that paid $20,000 over MSRP($43,000+-) for those GT500's in 2007. I wonder what they would get for a trade in?

*No offense GT500 owners. I love the car.

I might be interested in giving you a bit more for your ROUSH if you are interested just send me an e-mail. Obviously where you live would be a factor, so include that information.

Thanks

You seem to have missed the point

You seem to have missed the whole point of the conversation, it is that the "ROUSH " Mustangs have no secondary market so their resale value is equal to a standard Mustang GT. This sad situation DOES NOT apply to all special edition Mustangs.

Don't feel sorry for me and the resale value of My GT500, I won't be selling it, I keep most of my cars for a LONG time. I still have my 1971 Torino I had in high school in the '70s.

The horrible resale value applies to virtually all aftermarket modified Mustangs.

That's why the GT-500 is so valuable, it's a factory SE and it will hold its value much better than ANY aftermarket Mustang, Roush, Saleen or whatever.

Heck, even the dealerships are dropping the prices. I stopped in one the other day that had 2 brand new 428 R's. A few weeks ago they had $2500 rebate written on the window (the sticker was around $49,000). When I came back 2 weeks later, they have $40,900 written on the windshield. Knowing this dealer, I'd say they would go lower than that with some good bargaining. I would be sick if I had bought one a few months ago for close to sticker and came back and saw this.

Sorry Dude, you're smokin' from the Wrong end of the pipe.

If you think that the new Shelby (read SVT) is going to hold its value and ever achieve the lofty values of the TRUE Shelby's of the late 60's, you are seriously delusional and should probably get back on your meds.....quickly.

The "shelbys" WILL depreciate just like Saleen, Roush, Mach 1, Bullitt, etc etc...

This elitest my "Shelby" is better than everyone elses Mustang attitude, exhibited by some owners is BS.

Shelby contributed NOTHING to that vehicle other than his name...

There is a site for those with need help with there inferiority complex..

www.teamshelby.com.
