A Saleen sleeper can be ordered by any certified Saleen dealer as an option. Saleen puts the 475hp supercharger on the car as soon as it leaves the Ford plant and ship it to the dealership!

Throw the Saleen suspension and brakes on the car and I might be interested. Wonder if this is for real or the dealer just stuck a blower on the car.

If you bought a bare basic GT then yeah, you can do it yourself for about 32K. Now a fully loaded GT is different. That might run you closer to 38K.

I remember back in the day you can send you Mustang to Saleen to get converted to an S281.

 

I bought my GT loaded (family plan price) - had Saleen install the Series VI, the suspension kit, the pedals, HiDs and shifter block.

think when all was said and done I paid about 33K approx total.

 

But that car above isn't a loaded car. Look closely at the window label. Its a GT Deluxe model. A Deluxe with minimal equipment is in the mid $27,000 range. So with that in mind, this package costs over $10,000? You can get JDM to go do it for around $7,500 installed!

Plus did you see the charges from Saleen. Below the price for the gauge pod, is a $299 price for a spoiler. GT's come standard with one unless deleted from the factory. Saleen is charging for it.

 

this does seem pretty expensive....but when you think about it...you are basically getting a S281SC for 38K....nice discount I think....according to Saleen, they start at $53,999...you just dont get all of those non-funtional apperance peices.....but you also loose all the other performance upgrades too......for Saleen, I think it sounds about right...they're stuff is too expensive anyway IMO...

oh yeah...300 buck for the spoiler is BS
