2-Door Charger is back !
#22
Its just a sema car... its not looking to make production or anything.
I think I've only now just realized how CHUNKY the charger is! Like, holy crap, i mean it looks powerful, but it seriously looks like its got a lot of weight on it, regardless of what it actually weighs. It looks fat!

Sure would give Ford the prize for building a retro type car which has the best of the old and new. Having said that, IF they came out with a 2 door that has a resemblence to the Charger, I think they would sell - I know a ton of MOPAR addicts.

rrobello, that's a 4 door. You can see the door handles for both front and back, and the b pillar between the doors. They just painted them black. I agree the car doesn't look bad, I thing the pinstripes on the sides actually help accentuate the shoulders. That hood is the stock SRT-8, isn't it? I could be wrong though. Looks like it has a ducktail in back, too.
I like the orange one, with some changes. The grill has to go, so do the wheels. I also think it could loose some of the fat between the wheels, even if only visually, like with black rockers. I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures, or even the real thing. Just wish I could get into SEMA. I'm so close, yet so far away!

WOW!! Just knowing that someday that thing is going to be unleased on us Mustang guys with 425HP, makes you start to get your ducks in order.. It should be much lighter than the 4 door version, which means problems for all Mustang owners! Time for us to band together as one group, if we are going to have a chance at keeping that thing from chasing us down..
Might as well be honest guys.. 425HP with 2 less doors means trouble, plain and simple!

With that 2 door being so low and with those huge rims on i don't know if it matters if the horn plays Dixie cuz that thing wouldn't be able to get in the driveway much less soar through the air like the the days of olde.

Too low and the rim/tires are too big - nice take off on the classic car from "D of H" - would like stock rim, better color, might be nice looking in person - seems shorter than stock Charger.

eh, needs diff wheels and the 'regular' new charger grille. i dont like the bentley rip off one... ick
but the two door thing is nice, and i think it only looks so chunky becowse they have such huge wheels on it and its been lowered so drastically. the normal chargers ive seen in person arent half bad, even in 4 door form.

If they made a two door car with the SRT-8 package I would get it. Then I would find a twin screw blower. But back to the show car, I think it would look alot better with the stock grill, a little higher and smaller/more classic wheel tire combo. If the car did ake it to production I am willing to bet that it would have the three things I menchoned fixed.

thats a sema car.
Production srt-8s will have 4 doors. 425 hp.
look here:

That's the srt-8.
There will not be a production 2 door charger while it rides on this current platform...
There will be a challenger which will be built to compete with the mustangs. it will be a 2 door. But knowing dodge lataley, they will mess it up.

Yep, butt ugly. Now we have 2 mistakes out there. GTO and Charger. Wonder what other namesakes they will ruin in an attempt to challenge the mustang. I would like to see a nice Z-28 come back but GM will probably screw that one up as well. :notnice: :notnice: :notnice:

It really is a pisser that they couldn't come up with a cool Charger. Look at that stupid 4 door SRT-8 could that angry grill look any more forced. Such krap. The good news is SUV's are phasing out and musclecars are back. It looks like the designs aren't keeping up with the engines though. Let's hope the Camaro comes out right
