do you have a link, or all that i am interested in really is if the article or whatever talked about a possible increase of price (if so how much), whether the roof was an option or standard and if they had any pics.

thanks for the info...

Why not go with a carbon fiber roof like the BMW M6, Saleens are supossed to be exclusive anyways.

Speedster looks good (well, the tonnearu cover at least). I was wondering when they would get around to that.

I like the glass roof as well, but not sure if I would actually get it without some sort of interior cover or ar least heavy tinting.

I think the hi-res shots of the car w/the scenic roof look great - but yeah, park that thing out in the sun (esp. the Houston sun) and watch out...that car is going to be hot in more ways than one...

I also wonder if the scenic roof adds weight and body roll, I wonder if performance numbers are changed b/c of it...

That speedster looks ridiculous. Looks cobbled together, with that huge whale tail and the rear seat delete piece. On the plus side, I bet you can keep lots of lettuce fresh in that crisper they added between the tail lights.

Wow, I like the glass roof. Any guesses as to what kind of premium you would pay for that? Since it's Saleen I'm guessing $5k - $10k range?? I wonder if Ford will look at something like in the future.

Spoiler is functional; increases downforce.

About that roof: I gotta think that would get old in a hurry. In the middle of winter when rain is pelting down, do you really want to see and hear it smacking down on top of you. And as others have said, on a hot day it would get unbearable. Then there's the issue of privacy when you're in a public place and EVERYBODY can stare through the roof down at you. Forget gettin' BJs from your girlfriend in this beast.

I kinda assumed the spoiler was functional, as even most are (they increase downforce, even though several also increase drag) - I guess my more specific Q was at what speeds is that increased downforce really needed.

For example, if (big if here) I were to buy an SC and got a spoiler delete would I need to worry about my back end coming up on me or my tail sliding more than usual, etc, etc...

You sure about that? Have any evidence? Just because it is a spoiler tacked on doesn't automatically mean it increases downforce. But, if it is functional, I doubt it would be by very much.

No need to worry, most spoilers aren't function under 50mph or so as it is, and suspension setting and throttle control will have MUCH more of an impact on you sliding around than a piece of fiberglass tacked on the back.

True, but with 20% tint or so it would be pretty sweet I would think!

I read somewhere that it is $4000 MSRP. a $1000 less than a vert compared to a coupe.

Which makes sense.
